Betrayal

A lot of things broke my heart but fixed my vision.

When you look at this picture, what is the first thing you think you see looking at it? Well, I see many things, and the first thing that I see is a person torn apart by family, friends, coworkers s, and even themselves. Sometimes you have to get heartbroken to see the other person clearer. Does it feel good? Of course not, but it is part of the process. This process of pain is for you to grow and learn from it, and if you need to move some people around or out of your life, then this is what you have to do for yourself, not for them.

We all know that life is too short to keep getting betrayed by the people we give our all to, only to find out later that they were only around to destroy what you have built. All of us have been betrayed in some form or fashion, and trying to find the inner strength to keep moving forward is not easy, but you can do it.

There are loads of layers to betrayal. You could be betrayed in the heart, in mind, and the body. Now let us talk about the betrayals of the heart. Suppose you are in a relationship with someone not necessarily in a sexual relationship but just the relationship of friends. In that case, it is hard to see when the person has betrayed you because you have chosen to ignore the signs of the other person's actions. You knew that they were doing wrong, and you still forgave them for their actions and tried your best to stick by them. The primary issue with this is that the other person knows full well what they are doing to you and the friendship but do you think they care about how it is damaging you even more by them not doing right by you.

You have been betrayed by your mind thinking that things will change, and you hope that the other person would see the error of their ways and fix the issues that have been slowly breaking the relationship. Your mind is a powerful tool, and you have to protect it at all costs. No one wants to be betrayed by their way of thinking, but sometimes others have the mindset of selfishness, which is not suitable for growing and developing. You have to think better over yourself and start taking control of your life. If you allow others to manipulate you, they will continue to do just that because they feel that they have everything to gain by constantly taking the beautiful spirit you have. These kinds of individuals are all self-serving, and they are not there in your life to build you and see that you both grow and win. Once they have gotten what they wanted from you, they are on their way to the next person, and this is where the betrayal starts to show itself to you.

You have to understand that there is no need to be mad at these people for doing what they have been doing all along. Your heart had to break for you to fix your vision meaning your mental image. I love my life and everything that is in it now; however, I was very insecure about who I was as a woman and a person in the past. I used to struggle with self destruction for years, and now that I have gotten to a place where my inner happiness comes first, this is all that matters to me. I need to be a better version of myself for my children and grandchildren.

My final thoughts for today are that if you have been betrayed by anyone, including betraying yourself, then take a minute to stop, breathe, and see what you can fix for yourself, not others.
