Will she change her mind?

It was a cool, windy day in the streets of London . It was neither freezing cold nor boiling hot. People were out and about enjoying what could be the perfect weather in a long time. A young teenaged girl was living in London . Her name was Alesha Robinson. Alesha was known in the city for being a feisty young lady and had a tendency of always showing off her future plans to people that always underestimated her. She claimed that she was going to do everything from launching her own business empire to travelling around the world to owning a mansion.

But there was one thing she promised herself she will never ever do. She was never going to get married.

“But why?” exclaimed her best friend Monica shockingly. What’s wrong with getting married?!” also questioned by Monica. “Everything” replied Alesha in a firm way. “Many marriages end in divorce any not to mention what happened to my parents. Since then marriage has been out of the question, I am going to be an independent woman.”

There was a silence. An awkward silence. Alesha clearly had a difficult life. Both her parents had been constantly arguing every single day. It got to the point where her father abused her mother eventually leading to their divorce- perhaps this is the reason why Alesha did not want to get married.

She did not want to go through the same thing her mother did. The trauma she faced when seeing her mother all helpless put her off from being in future relationships. Later that day when she was going out with Monica, she noticed something weird about Monica. She was fidgeting a lot.

She looked as if she was bursting with news. Alesha felt suspicious. “Why are you acting weird for?” It was clear she couldn’t contain her excitement. It was obvious by her facial expressions that she was ecstatic…

“I’ve met someone ! I’ve met someone!” shouted Monica.

She was running towards Alesha with wide arms. Judging from Monica’s facial expressions , Alesha assumed she met a young man. She was shocked. She was angry. She was upset.

“How, when ,where?!” she shouted.

“Why did you not tell me about this person?” Monica, whilst trying to calm Alesha down stated “we were friends at first and then we just started seeing each other more and eventually started dating.” While Monica continued talking about her new man James, Alesha began to think about her own past.

Her relationship with her parents.

Her parents’ relationship with each other. This traumatic experience haunts her till this day. She decided to walk away. Walk away from relationship talk from her own best friend.

Alesha went through a journey filled with rocks, plants and other forms of greenery.

The park is often seen as one that is not often visited by those who prefer to be in places that are public.

The trail is bleak ,dark and severely abandoned by those who do not wish to take care of it.Leaves are turning black and left to decay. The park barely has any light or colour . Dark and decayed the park has become. Lifeless. That’s how Alesha felt. Dull and unhappy. She felt the whole world was going against her. Her best friend was spending too much with James. Her father passed away and was left with no one but her stepmother who turned out to be horrible. She had no one to turn to.As she walked away, she saw a young man around her age. He was tall, handsome and could easily pose as a male model.

He was reading a book about starting your own business globally. This somehow caught the attention of a surprising Alesha. However, before she could think of moving , the young man approached her. “Hey ,my name is Holden , I see you looked interested in my book.” Both Holden and Alesha inevitably. had a moment of. glory and happiness in their eyes.

They somehow found each other looking at each other as if they were in love….
