Relationships are meant to have ups and downs but when it’s above normal it could be a sign it is karmic. We need to understand that people come into our lives only for a reason and also for a season. Humans act like magnets and the attract just the same energy they possess themselves. If you are constantly attracting negative people, it is a clear sign of a negative inner energy.

What is a karmic relationship?

A karmic bound relationship is one you must likely experience throughout your lifetime. Here both partners are connected with the energy of love and a feeling of innate expansion. This relationship ultimately helps you to identify your flaws and allows you to grow into a better version of yourself. You need them to evolve.

This kind of relationship teaches you strong life lessons, teach you how to deal with oppositions, enemies and conflicts. It basically helps your soul to experience what it is not so that it can recognize what it is. It purges you from your fears and it helps you appreciate what true love is.

Questions you should ask yourself to know if you are in a karmic relationship or not.

1) Do I love myself better when I’m with my partner?

2) Do I prefer the way I feel when I’m alone or when I’m with my partner?

3) How does my body feel when I’m with them? Tight and constrained or open chested, excited or relaxed?

A karmic bond pulls really hard, you’d always want to be near them, it’s relatively toxic and you feel uncomfortable when you are not with them. There is just this feeling of constraint you feel like there is something preventing you from expressing your full being. You feel uncomfortable in your own skin when you are around them.

Here are 7 warning signs that you are in a karmic relationship.

1. They bring out your worst fears.

You put your all in them but they do not offer you the happiness you deserve. You often tend to make them your safe place but there is no assurance of such safety. They tend to act as purifiers as they may purge you from those fears. They bring out your insecurities.

Your karmic partner brings all your baggages out to the light. The show you all your flaws and the areas of your life you need to amend. They are never satisfied with the little changes you might make to please them, they want you to attain perfection and this may seem manipulative and it’s like they are always controlling you.

A karmic cycle is exhausting because there is always something they want you to change. They continually push your buttons. They are your greatest mirror and they show you who you are. It purifies, but it’s extremely agonizing.

2. Frequent silent treatment.

Imagine being around someone you claim to love and silence is what you get. In a karmic relationship, your partner would ignore you at times for silly reasons. They would always ask for personal space and away time.

3. Repetition of destructive patterns.

You’d notice you make very little or no progress when you are in a karmic relationship. Everything seems like a circle you are never going to come out from. You might have great passion at the start, but this kind of relationship puts it off.

Quarrels, abuse and constant issues stagnates the relationship. You feel they are your destiny so you do everything in your power to keep them not minding the abuse and compromises.

4. Teach you lessons.

Karmic relationship is a school where great lessons are taught. This relationship mostly comes with life lessons and it helps you appreciate what true love is. They treat you in a way that makes you feel undeserving. All the issues you have with yourself surfaces. They are your oppositions and conflict partner. Nothing really ever changes and it doesn’t get better.

They show you the things you need to work on. Just like when you fail an examination your teacher flogs you and ask you to repeat the examination. They continue doing things you hate. And whatever issues you have is never coming to an end. You need them to evolve. They are the fire you need to go through to be purified like gold.

5. They are in control of you or vice versa.

Your karmic partner is always too protective and critically possessive of you. They always want to intrude in your privacy and they never trust you or vice versa. True love would allow you to fly.

They watch your every mood and they are scared you want to manipulate them. Their insecurities cause them to test you and do things that are detrimental to the relationship. They may also control you during intimate moments, like using you to satisfy their urges and not caring if you are satisfied yourself. They expect that if you love them you should be able to abide by their own rules.

6. Addictive and can’t let go.

You never want to let them go. The thought of loosing them tortures you. You have a gut feeling you should be away from them and forge ahead, but you never want to. You want to stick right with them for different reasons.

Karmic relationship is easy to mistake as love. True love doesn’t constrain you and it’s not abusive too. It has real addictive qualities and it’s destroying your life. A karmic connection interferes with your ability to be productive. You have to let go after so many hurts, you can’t thrive here.

7. Prolonged fights and unhealthy behaviors.

They blame you for everything. They criticize and insult you regularly. There are selfish towards you and you both are almost never on the same page. Although the first period of the relationship could be rosy as the bond grows you both disagree often. You often have awful fights and arguments.

They may beg you consecutively, but it never ends. It often seems like you are in competition with them because they never agree to your ideas and decisions. They may feel threatened about your achievements.
