From Adesua Etomi to Joke Silva

Marital bliss – it is something a lot of people desire for. Finding the right partner is very difficult – we all want someone we are attracted to, that can make us laugh, and that can annoy us in ways no other person can…in a good way of course.

Today, I thought it’d be fun to compile for you a list of 7 Nigerian celebrity wives who have shared with us the things that their husbands do that annoy them. I think it’s quite the fun list, so without further ado, let’s dive in!

**Before reading on, please make sure to like and follow my Facebook page so you don't miss out on any new and interesting lists, articles, and stories that I post every single day. 1. Adesua Etomi

Beloved Nigerian actress Adesua Etomi revealed that the most annoying thing about her husband, singer Banky W are his perfect eyebrows.

She made the revelation when a commenter said: “Even Banky's brows is Pro......God when?”

To which Adesua responded:

nothing annoys me more than how perfect his brows are 😭😭😭

2. Mary Njoku

This next revelation came from not actress Mary Njoku herself but her husband who revealed what annoys her the most.

He said:

My daughters literally fight for my attention. Everyday they see me. They sing my name. Papa papa (no idea where this came from) It's the most beautiful thing I experience. It annoys Mrs Njoku.

😂 Mary, we understand your frustration. Don’t worry, they will eventually fight for your attention too 😂

3. Linda Ejiofor

For this one, let’s switch things up for a second because it’s funny. This time around, Linda’s husband, Ibrahim Suleman came out to complain about his wife never letting his boxers rest. He said:

This woman has turned ALL my boxers to her house shorts sha. Worse, Toxic masculinity will now not let me do her back by using all her undergarments as house wear. It is a woman's world for real for real.

Linda, please allow Ibrahim’s boxers to rest 😂

4. Regina Daniels

Nigerian actress Regina Daniels revealed that she actually likes to cook but that her husband doesn’t allow her.

She said:

I cooked but he has stopped me, I cannot enter the kitchen, If enter the kitchen he’ll say stupid girl why are you cooking, you have cooks

Speaking on why this is the case, Ned said that he needs Regina’s time “for other things.”

5. Simi

Simi and Adekunle Gold always like to play and yab themselves on social media. One time that Simi seemed genuinely upset though was when Adekunle Gold didn’t listen to her advice about music.

When musician is married to musician, I guess this is the kind of thing that can cause wahala in the house 😂. Simi was pissed at Adekunle for recording into a too-loud microphone and she came to social media to publicly call him out saying:

@adekunleGOLD i. told. you. to. stop. recording. with. the. mic. too. loud. but. you. don't. listennnn. and. now. i. have to make distorted. clips. work. thank. you. so. much. for. nothing.”

6. Cynthia Obi-Uchendu

Cynthia Obi-Uchendu has revealed that she and her husband, TV personality Ebuka Obi-Uchendu barely argue.

But just because they don’t argue doesn’t mean there are still some things that annoy Cynthia.

She hates when Ebuka sleeps before her.

She doesn’t understand why Ebuka doesn’t show off his tattoos more.

And then of course there is that time when Ebuka over-danced her during their own wedding. So funny.

7. Joke Silva

Finally, I have to share this story that Joke Silva recounted about one of the times she almost walked out of her marriage.

In an interview with Premium Times when asked “Was there a point in your marriage when just wanted to end it and not minding what the society would say?”

Joke said:

It happened a lot. I recall a particular incident that happened when we just had our first a baby. It turned out to be a learning curve for me. Olu had just come back from set apparently what happened was that he was still in that character that he had just played on set. So we were just talking and he just started shouting and I was like, “Is it me you are talking to? Do you think I don’t have a father?” So I packed my clothes with the drawer and I dumped it in my car, carried my baby and I remember our landlady lived at the back of our compound. So, she came out and started shouting, “Joke, where are you going to?’’ I told her I was going to my father’s house. When I got home the first person I see is my mum and she said what are you doing here? I began ranting and she said you don’t have a house or a room here, you better pack your bags and go home. My father sort of understood where I was coming from. Funnily, my husband called and asked, “When are you coming home?” That was the first time and I did it a couple of other times.”

Goes to show that even a marriage that has lasted as long as theirs has still has ups and downs.

Marriage – it can be a lot of fun, and my wish for us all is that we find people who we can annoy and can annoy us in love because if your spouse cannot annoy you to the point of laughter, abeg who can?

That’s All.
