Hello, fellow single individual! Are you aware of the upcoming "holiday" approaching oh so slowly? No? Then you're pretty good at ignoring the heart-shaped balloons, dozens and dozens of boxes of chocolate, and "Roses on sale" signs in every corner in every area in every city. But, yes, Valentine's Day is just around the corner and every time someone mentions the holiday, you can hear a groan somewhere far away in the distance by a single person. It's quite clear why single people are in utter disgust by the holiday filled with love and joy—they don't have a significant other to share it with.

Even though you're single, that doesn't mean you don't have an excuse to celebrate Valentine's Day. In fact, you don't have to properly celebrate V-Day if you're single, make the holiday your holiday! With so many things to do on Valentine's Day if you're single, you can make this holiday worth celebrating. Drink wine, eat pizza, go shopping, binge watch shows, drink more wine, and eat more pizza—Valentine's Day is an excuse for you to let loose... and get drunk.

Order a bunch of food and... just eat the world.

Easily the best possible thing you can do on Valentine's Day is order a ton of fatty and sugary foods and stuff yourself. Today's the day where there's no such thing as guilt, no such thing as calories, and definitely no such thing as love. Order eight pies of pizza, ten gooey cookies, a fricken chocolate lava cake, mozzarella sticks, and anything else you've been holding back from eating. And eat it all in the comfort of your own home.

Hell, invite your single friends over and eat together! Food usually tastes better with good company, and nothing says a great Valentine's Day than single friends who love food. And I'll admit, this is easily one of the best things to do on Valentine's Day if you're single.

Throw a massive party.

Screw it, call up your friends and their friends' friends and throw a huge house party. Stock up on hard liquor, blast music, put away your expensive pieces, and make Valentine's Day 2018 a night to remember. Who cares if it's on a Wednesday this year, all the more reason to throw a huge party.

But wait, make it a single's party only. Forget your damn friends with boyfriends, girlfriends, or are married—they're not invited! No one wants to see couples isolating themselves from a crowd of single people. Plus, we all know that they have more "important" things to do that night. And here's a drinking game: every time you hear someone say "fuck love," take a shot! I guarantee your words will start to slur in less than an hour.

Also, don't drink too much. Yes, it's Valentine's Day and you're single, but your health is certainly more important.

Binge watch movies starring your celebrity crush.

Among the things to do on Valentine's Day if you're single, it looks like it's just me and Leonardo DiCaprio tonight. It's not a proper Valentine's Day when you're single if you aren't binge watching television shows or movies. But to really make the night extra special, have a movie marathon starring your celebrity crush!

Nothing gets us swooning more than seeing the love of our life on the television screen. Whether your crush played roles in romance, horror, action, or drama—binge watch it. Not only will this tremendously increase the love we have for them, but it'll certainly be a night worth spending.

Plan a road trip with your friends and go that same day.

Probably the best way to get away from the lovey-dovey atmosphere in your town is by getting the hell out of there. So, grab your single friends and plan an epic road trip. It doesn't even matter where you're going. Chicago, Boston, Las Vegas, New York City, Miami, anywhere. Going on a road trip is one of the funnest things you can do with your friends to get your mind off of being single!

Once it's all planned out, go. Just go on that same day and get the hell out of your town. Take a lot of cash because road trips aren't cheap, grab a car, pack whatever you think is necessary, and leave. Explore diverse cities across the country and make Valentine's Day an adventurous one!

Go to a comedy club and laugh your ass off.

Nothing gets your mind off of love, your single life... your loneliness, more than going to a comedy club! Comedians love to make those who are feeling down cheer right up with hilariously ridiculous jokes. Either grab a few friends or attend alone (nothing wrong with that) and order a couple of drinks. Once you're tipsy and feeling numb from the amount of laughter, you'll even forget that it's Valentine's Day.

There are definitely a lot of comedy clubs available to attend on Valentine's Day and I believe they're for the single people, not even the couples who attend. So, if you're feeling down from a recent break up, or because you're alone on Valentine's Day, laugh off the pain! They say that laughter is the best kind of medicine, and this is one of the best things to do on Valentine's Day if you're single.

Exchange gifts with your single friends.

There are so many single people out there who don't get anything for Valentine's Day. Where's the love for the single people!? Even if you don't have somebody to love today, share the love with your fellow single friends. From the things to do on Valentine's Day if you're single, exchange gifts! You can even create DIY Valentine's Day gifts for a more personal present.

Honestly, it doesn't even matter what you gift them. From roses to a stuffed animal, chocolates, or a bottle of wine, your friends will be thrilled about receiving something, because it's the thought that counts. Share the love and many years of friendship with each other and show that even if they don't have anyone special to them, at least they have you! Extremely cheesy, I know, but love in general is cheesy—you have to admit. But you can also get cards for people that don't even care about Valentine's Day!

Two Words: Online Shopping

Online shopping! Whip out your laptop, computer, or even your smartphone, browse through tons of online retail stores, and shop until you're broke AF. Today is the perfect day to splurge like never before and it's an excuse to treat yourself, because there's no one out there to treat you!

So buy those $900 Christian Louboutin pumps, that $400 Alexander McQueen scarf, and fuck it, buy that $2,000 Céline bag! Then buy 20 tops, 80 pants, and anything else you love that you come across. Spoil yourself until your bank account is begging for mercy. Retail therapy is real, single people, and nothing makes you feel better about yourself than buying yourself presents.

Celebrate anti-Valentine's Day at a club.

Remember in the film Valentine's Day where Jessica Biel threw an anti-Valentine's Day party? That was pure genius and it's among the best things to do on Valentine's Day if you're single. Now you can throw an anti-Valentine's Day celebration yourself at a club! Call up your favorite single friends and plan out the night solely celebrating the complete opposite of Valentine's Day!

Head to your favorite club, hold a table, and make the night based on anti-Valentine's Day. Party with the rest of the people who didn't find a special someone. It's the greatest feeling when you're celebrating with people who are in the same position as you, and you'll feel even better after a few shots.

Change up your look.

Forget the old you! One of the best things to do on Valentine's Day if you're single is to change up your style! This means go out there and get that tattoo you've been dying to get, or that piercing your were too afraid to get. Do something new to yourself! Change is good every now and then and changing up your look can surely lift up your spirits!

Been wanting to go bleach blonde? Go for it! What about completely chopping your hair? I don't see why not. Not to mention that switching up your style can make you more confident about yourself, and this can lead to you going out there more and finding new people! Perhaps gaining the courage to talk to a certain someone.

Pamper TF up.

Finally, from the brilliant things to do on Valentine's Day if you're single, is pampering yourself! Go to the damn store, buy a bunch of bath bombs, skincare products, incense, candles, a few bottles of wine, and spend the entire night in the bathtub just soaking in the goodness. Hydrate your skin with the best facial masks and detox your body with mineral-loaded bath bombs to give you softer and smoother skin!

Valentine's Day can definitely be all about loving yourself, so why not spend time with just you. Instead of going out with friends, you can spend some quality time alone and take care of yourself. Plus, spending the entire night in a bathtub filled with delicious scents, wearing a great clay mask, candle light, and wine? That sounds like the best Valentine's Day ever.
