The Ringcroft Haunting: What Happened at Andrew Mackie's Farm?
It began with the animals... In February 1695, on a lonely farm in southwest Scotland, Andrew Mackie discovered that some of his young cattle had somehow gotten loose during the night. There was nothing supernatural about that. Animals break restraints. So Mackie secured them again. The bindings were broken again. He made them stronger. Still they broke. Finally, Mackie began to suspect that something other than unruly livestock was responsible. He moved the animals elsewhere.

I Believe in Demons. I Just Don’t Believe in Christianity. Top Story - August 2026.
There is a slightly awkward flaw in my claim that I don’t believe in Christianity. I might believe in demons. Not necessarily Christian demons. I’m not picturing a red man with horns, a pitchfork and an administrative role somewhere beneath Satan. I don’t believe in the Christian understanding of God, I don’t believe the Bible is the divinely dictated explanation of reality, and I certainly don’t believe Christianity has exclusive ownership over whatever might be lurking in the parts of existence we don’t understand.

The frightening message was that if you leaned too far over the water or played at the edge of the canal, the Bullebak would leap out and drag you under.

The Mystery of the Sarah Joe...
In September 1988, marine biologist John Naughton stood on one of the most isolated pieces of land in the Pacific Ocean and stared at a small, battered boat. He had seen that boat before, or at least, he had spent days searching for it, nine years earlier and more than two thousand miles away. The faded registration numbers on the hull confirmed what seemed impossible: the boat was the Sarah Joe . And somewhere nearby was a grave...

PLEASE MR. OUIJA - pt 4
PLEASE MR. OUIJA – pt 4 Who did that? ** In a weird sort of way, we’d gotten used to the unembodied voices, the odd occurrences of flashing lights, faucets turning on and off at will. They were things, through the years, we’d gotten used to. There were times we’d even laugh about them. Like the time my boys were sleeping, and I plopped on the couch to watch TV. On that night, I decided to enjoy a rare glass of wine.
