See Ghostly Figures and Meet the White Lady
Below Luxembourg City’s cliffs lies the Bock Casemates, a twenty-three-kilometre network of tunnels begun in 1644 and later listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. The passages functioned as gunpowder stores, military prisons, and civilian shelters during the Second World War, when they protected thirty-five thousand people. Today they rank among Europe’s most frequently reported haunted locations.
Visitors and locals have reported sightings of ghostly figures and unexplained noises within the tunnels. One of the most famous spirits associated with the area is the White Lady, said to roam the castle grounds.
