'The Lodge' Movie Review
From Austrian directing duo Severin Fiala and Veronika Franz, The Lodge is the story of brother and sister Aidan (Jaeden Martell, aka Jaeden Lieberher) and Mia (Lia McHugh). Their parents are separated, and when their father, Richard (Richard Armitage), informs their mother, Laura (Alicia Silverstone), that he intends to marry his girlfriend, Grace (Riley Keough), she commits suicide. The kids now resent both Grace and their father, as they blame them both for what happened to their mom. When their dad tells Aidan and Mia that Grace will be joining them at their lodge in the mountains for Christmas, the two siblings are furious, so when Richard has to go back to the house for a couple days, tensions run high and are only made worse by their isolation.

'Fantasy Island' (2020) Movie Review
Blumhouse’s new take on the beloved TV show from the 70’s and 80’s takes it into much darker territory. In this film, five strangers (Maggie Q, Lucy Hale, Ryan Hansen, Jimmy O. Yang, Austin Stowell) are given the chance to visit a magical, remote island in which, supposedly, they are able to live out their greatest fantasy. After being greeted by their host, Mr. Roarke (Michael Peña), he shows them around the resort and informs them that they will be granted their wishes the next day. However, their fantasies aren't exactly what they had hoped for, and the island itself seems to be harboring a dark secret.

Reed Alexander's Horror Review of 'A Nightmare on Elm Street" (2010)
There was nothing really wrong with this remake. Actually, it was pretty damn good. Sure, there was tons of unnecessary CGI, yeah it wasn't Robert Englund's Freddy Krueger, YES the original A Nightmare on Elm Street 1984 (Elm Street) was better, but this was good, damn good.

'The Turning' Review
The Turning is the latest film adaptation of the book The Turn of the Screw by Henry James. Here, the setting has been updated to the 1990’s. Kate Mandell (MacKenzie Davis) is hired to be the private tutor for a little girl named Flora (Brooklynn Prince), an orphan who lives in an old mansion with her brother, Miles (Finn Wolfhard), and their housekeeper, Mrs. Grose (Barbara Marten). Flora is still haunted by her parents’ untimely deaths, and Miles is a borderline sociopath. But it also appears that something else is going on in the house; possibly something supernatural.

trick or treat, horror movie review
Halloween, a time of free candy, doorbell rings, scary movies, and costumed kids abound, and there are alot of great halloween based movies such as the correctly named Halloween, however today i am gonna be reviewing on of my personal favorites, the halloween based anthology movie, Trick or Treat. This film is told from a non-linear prospective although all the seperate stories do tie together in by the mysterious orange footie pajama wereing sack-masked child sized figure known only as Sam who appears in all of the stories. Now this type of genre again is a very easy one to mess up and can quickly go off the rails if handled by the wrong director but this director clearly knew exactly what he was doing. There wa a story of a killer school principal who poisoned a fat kid who didnt obey the rules of halloween (which we find out later is what sam is there for), and i love how sam simply takes candy from the principal and leaves very innocently but it really hides something un-human that we get to see in full view later.

13 sins, a horror film review
I love the main plot of 13 sins, with the corrupt game show host forcing the less han willing participant into his sick games, a tuly wonderful horror film plot but yet one that is so easy to mess up. This film does just that, it messes it up in alot of ways, and it's first flaw was it's short build up of the main character, in a time of only fourteen minutes, and we get a very generic bland guy who is in need of financial help, this being a plot point that is wayyyyyyyyyyyy to over-used.

'Underwater' Movie Review
After an earthquake destroys their base of operations deep in the Mariana Trench, an aquatic research team (Kristen Stewart, Vincent Cassel, T.J. Miller, Jessica Henwick, John Gallagher Jr., Mamoudou Athie) is left trapped, you guessed it, underwater. Now they must cross the ocean floor on foot to make it to another station in order to survive. Unfortunately, they aren’t alone down there, and they have no way of contacting the surface world.
