The Curse of The Blood Countess
"I have had many names…" Fires raged beneath her feet, men in red robes wearing golden crucifixes and shouting indistinct obscenities and words which translated to "witch" and "heretic" stood before her, having lit said fire under the stake and pyre on top of which she stood, bloodied, bruised, dressed in but rags and barefoot, tied to the massive wooden spire. They spat at her, they laughed and reveled in her last burning moments. Villagers looked on, half amused, half horrified, and in their ranks was a young woman with tears streaming down her eyes, mouthing something like "I'm sorry" in vain. The woman shouted and let out a blood curdling shriek of agony and hatred, a vocalization so fearsome the men in red shook a moment and proceeded to hail Mary. Before her last breath, the woman howled what, to the villagers, sounded like a curse, but was actually a promise, or a threat.

The Most Disturbing Movie Ever Made
From the opening shot of this film, they let you know instantly that this is going to be a disturbing one, for it begins with a shot of open heart surgery, accompanied by some truly bone chilling orchestral music. The tone is instantly set by the director's unsettling cinematography, colour scheme and atmosphere. The film isn't exactly Horror themed, but the colours are dull and scenery is equally mundane, the film has a very realistic and grounded presentation which I think adds a lot more grit to some of the more grotesque/grizzly scenes that do pop up throughout this honestly disturbing movie. Not only are the scenarios within The Killing of a Sacred Deer unsettling, but a lot of the characters are simply just weird too, Collin Ferrall's character (Dr. Steven Murphy) has a disturbing corpse fetish with his wife (played by Nicole Kidman), which we see played out during, thankfully very brief, sexual scenes. Nobody within his family speaks like a normal person either, this isn't even bad acting, they just seem to be very, very formal with everything they do and say, it's intentionally uncanny, meaning almost every character just feels off in the most haunting way possible. Even when something truly terrifying does happen, characters will act completely unfazed 90% of the time and that just feels even more wrong and alien, it's like a surreal nightmare.

Pyramid of Immortalis
Dust arose as a stately scorpion dropped down onto the decaying floor from a crevice above. Battling fatigue, I struggled to my feet, once again surveying my surroundings. Inspecting for any clues or symbols I may have missed my first hundred times scrutinizing the dimly lit chamber.

This bravery was both his greatest strength and his most profound weakness, for ignorance and heedlessness can often be mistaken for a deep and foolhardy sense of courage. He was to learn the limits of his bravery down in those oppressive tunnels, deep below the streets of Amsterdam.

Carnival: You're Going To Laugh
Josh woke up in his hospital bed. Staring at the ceiling, he thought about how hard he could hit the floor if he jumped from the ceiling. He smirked at how ridiculous the idea was. Telling himself that he would have to learn how to stand again first. Swiftly deflating himself telling himself, out loud, “Like I have a reason to walk anymore.”

Chucky Review: "The Sinners Are Much More Fun"
I apologize for being late with this; I actually had to watch this later than usual because on the same night that this episode aired, the Colorado Avalanche kicked off their season as the defending Stanley Cup Champions, and it included the raising of the championship banner, which was a very emotional moment for this longtime Nordiques/Avalanche fan. This episode was a good one (no surprise) and it began with the second season's first appearance of Tiffany Valentine, as well as Nica Pierce.

Reed Alexander's Horror Review of 'Hellraiser' (2022)
Fucking shame on this movie for almost failing my 30-minute rule. Say what you want about the shitty franchise installments from 5-7, at least they got to the meat and potatoes quickly. And the original, ten fucking minutes in and BOOM, cenobites crawling out of every orifice.
