Review of 'Lovecraft Country' 1.3
It should be apparent by now that Lovecraft Country is an anthology of separate stories set on a foundation of a continuing underlying story, rather than just a straightforward continuing story. This has the effect of making the underlying story more difficult to follow, but allowing the series to explore a lot more than one classic horror trope.

Breaking The Chains
Other than my discussion on the comparisons with “Bird Box” and this Pandemic, I haven’t done anything close to a straight forward book review as I’ve already been wanting to. Well, I never do anything straight forward, so here’s something to think about adding to your reading list, that oddly enough ties in, in a very frightening way, to the isolation we all feel right about now as we continue to more or less shelter in place during this Pandemic.

Strange, Weird but True!
It was early spring in the year of our lord 1999. LOL sorry I just love that intro! This experience happened some time ago. I was on assignment for the military in South Korea. It was a Friday like all other Fridays. PT in the morning or "physical training" for you civilians. A quick 3 mile run some calisthenics and hit the showers to make it to chow before heading out to the worksite.

Can I just interupt this review for one second to say I'm so fucking sick of 'Streaming Service Roulette!' JESUS H FUCKING CHRIST! I only have so much time on my plate to see movies in the theater, and if I miss it, it's a god damn crap chute if it will come out on a stremeing service I'm actualy paying for. And to be clear, I have Netflix (which barely ever delivers), Hulu (which makes me pay for comercials), Shudder (which you get what you get and that's it), and Tubi (which is like 'great vallue' Hulu).

The father sat in a chair beside his daughter as he spoke. His hands, clasped out in front of him, fidgeted nervously throughout. He told Tallis that the soldiers would come for her and he would do everything that he could to stop them.
