The Angry Fetus

As a Native Hawaiian cultural practitioner, I am called to investigate many strange and unusual situations. This incident was brought to my attention by one of my former co-workers on Tuesday, 8 March 2016.

One of our mutual friends, who I will call Angie, had been experiencing something very unusual. Angie began to experience red marks that mysteriously appeared on the back of her arms. At first, she thought these marks were the hives, but as others began to examine them, the marks appeared to be scratches that were long and narrow. The scratches would appear while she was at her home, while she was sleeping, and also while she was at work. Angie was even scratched while visiting with her mother in law. The frequency of these scratching attacks appeared to be on the rise, starting off with 2 to 3 per day, to more than 8 within the recent days. After learning that she was being scratched while she was at multiple locations, it was obvious that whatever was causing the scratches was not attached to a specific place; it was attached to her.

By the time I was contacted, Angie had been enduring these scratches for almost 2 weeks, and it was beginning to worry her. Angie texted a photo of one of the scratches to me, which occurred at her work place. The scratch was long and narrow and was located to the back of her right bicep.

Angie called me and after getting her permission, I projected my consciousness to view what was causing this to her body. I sensed a small orb of energy that had attached itself to the small of Angie’s back. The first impression I got was “fetus”. For some reason, this orb was angry and was venting its frustrations on Angie. After verifying what I saw, I called Angie to collect more information and I had some important questions to ask her.

I explained to Angie that attaching spirits will not attach itself to someone for no reason. There is always a reason behind this type of occurrence. Many times, a person will enter a sacred site and either intentionally or unintentionally, do something that may offend one of the guardian spirits of the place. Guardian spirits of sacred places have been known to attach itself to an offender to teach them a lesson. Sometimes, arguments and fights that are unresolved may generate enough negative energy to cause someone to send an evil force to torment the object of their anger. The same can be said for people who become jealous of someone. Finally, sometimes, spirits may attach themselves to people who they feel neglected a promise or responsibility they were supposed to keep. These types of spirits feed on regret and depression.

After explaining this to Angie, my first question to her was “Did you have any miscarriages in the past few months?” She told me that she had 2 miscarriages in the last 3-5 months going back to the end of 2015. So I asked her if any of these miscarriages was unusual. Angie told me that the last miscarriage was unusual since it is one that she tried to keep secret from her husband. She went to visit her doctor, who did a scan, and there was a developing fetus in her. A few weeks later when she took her husband with her for her second checkup, the fetus was no longer there. After hearing this, I realized that we were dealing with a miscarried fetus that had some issues with mom. To be sure I was dealing with a fetus, I went through all of my questions to make sure no one was angry with Angie, or jealous of her, and that she did not visit a sacred site.

My focus was now turned to mom and a miscarried fetus. Why was this fetus angry at mom? When I informed Angie of my impressions, she went silent. I then asked her, what happened with her and her husband just weeks before the scratching began to appear? Angie dropped a bomb shell. A few days before the scratches began to appear, Angie and her husband decided to stop trying to get pregnant again. They already had two sons, and since Angie was getting older, she did not want to risk the chance of having a child born with any handicap.

As Angie poured her heart out to me, I looked out of my workstation window and saw a cloud formation south of me. The cloud appeared to be a fetus, curled up in its mother’s womb. As the wind carried this cloud to the west, it morphed into a ballerina in a tutu, with her arms arced over her head. It was a clear indication to me that this fetus was a little girl. This little girl was angry with her mom for stopping short of bringing her into this world. This made perfect sense to me and Angie.

As I looked for a solution to this situation, I was impressed to suggest the following plan to help mother and daughter to come to a peaceful resolution.

The first step was for Angie to ask forgiveness from the spirit of this child. Next, if this child remained nameless, and unclaimed, the spirit of this child would be left in limbo, becoming a roaming ghost. This led to step two in this process. I asked Angie to find a suitable name for her daughter, and claim this child as hers, making her part of the family. This would give the child’s spirit access to the ancestors who would guide her to where she needed to go. The final step in the process was a cleansing in the ocean to wash away the residual effects of the attachment. During this cleansing, Angie needed to forgive herself for the decisions she made that lead to the attachment.

Angie followed my instructions and by Thursday, 10 March 2016, she had completed all 3 of the steps. The scratching episodes stopped on Wednesday evening, 9 March 2016, after Angie apologized to the spirit of the child and gave her a name. The scratches never appeared again.
