The House on Benson Hill
Darkness surrounds the musty room I nestle myself in. The only source of light flickers from a simple candle upon the windowsill. What beauty is to behold this single light dancing among the encroaching stillness. Tears roll down my eyes as I hold my head with my hands. My thoughts run with this nights horrible outcome.

Alice in wonderland
I got lost in the forest ... As I searched for my way, I saw this huge hole behind a bush and my curiosity drew me to it. My conscience told me totally otherwise, but an outside force pushed me and I fell to the bottom. I wish I had been able to grab hold of myself to get up and go out following the daylight. I couldn't. I was then sucked down like a lost soul, during this hellish descent I saw moments from the past, objects that I loved as a child; my dolls, my colored pencils, my bedroom all painted pink with its images of hugs and happiness. I hadn't hit bottom yet, but I knew it was coming. Suddenly, in a violent and abrupt gesture, the ground quickly stopped my fall.

Magic Kind
Nightfall Valley was my safe haven. The dark, dusty ash that coated the ground was soft between my bare toes, and the blood-red moon in the night sky reflected its shadow across the barren terrain. As I walked along the intimately familiar path, I considered my life as it was in the moment. I lived in a state of constant upset and never had any peace, not even for a moment. My parents made sure of that, doing their very best to make sure I was unhappy. They believed that I wasn’t what they deserved in a child, but if that was true I think it was only because I reflected who they truly were. My parents were powerful, but that was all. They weren’t true people. Caring for nobody but themselves was a sure way to lose all humanity, or what little humanity they had to begin with when they weren’t even human.

The Canna Lily
Walking through the door of her apartment for the first time in what, to her, seemed ages with a small bag of groceries, the young woman let out a relieved sigh. She walked to her counter in her small kitchen and dropped her burden down. She looked about the meagerly sized room, with its modest furnishings, assessing that all was as she had left it those several weeks ago. She smiled as she judged that nothing had been disturbed in her absence (she had a neighbor girl water her tiny desk plants).

The Youth Deserve to See Candyman as Much as They Did Black Panther Candyman shows the thirst for White Americans to find a source of faults for the oppression of Black people, ignoring the alienation and objectification against African Americans. This statement is the gimmick of the slasher flick in question.

A Film Addict Reviews! Overlord
Now that we are quickly approaching Halloween, I figured that I should maybe celebrate it a little but watching a few Halloween favorites. I’m personal fan of Beetlejuice which is my go-to Halloween film. This year, I’m starting to branch out a little bit more and watch some more of the horror oriented ones and not so much comedic. One can never go wrong with watching the original Evil Dead or Army of Darkness but I have been wanting to watch Overlord since it first came out. I have finally seen it (obviously) and let me tell you what an adventure this was.

Witch Hunt
As I sit at my writing desk, the quill nib scratching out each letter that I cast out in ink upon the page. The winter fire ablaze cast an amber glow into the room, yet that alone is not enough to light the room, for there upon my desk is a weeping candle. The wind howls outside rattling the glass of the window as if in a moments notice it could crack and shatter, sending snow and glass across the room. I dread to think what the passers by see of this little run down cottage of mine, I'm careful to not stray to near the windows for they taunt me with the word 'witch'. If I'm a witch then surely I am good?

Hocus Pocus Was Not a Halloween Movie
Every October, I like to sit down and watch old Halloween movies. Yesterday's pick was Hocus Pocus (1993). In my adulthood, I found myself laughing at parts of the film I'd seen a million times. I always remembered that no matter how many times you watch something, you'll still see something new you didn't see/realize the first time. This statement is still valid for me.
