NOS4A2 Revisted
With Christmas right around the corner, I wanted to take this opportunity to revisit one of the coolest moments of my life because 2020 has been a royal-pile-of-glitter. Anyone who knows me knows that I absolutely love Joe Hill as a writer. It started a little after I graduated high-school when I found his paperback, Horns, on the shelf at a bookstore in the Los Angeles Airport.

When will it end part 5
I spoke low and firm to the little girl who pleaded with me now to take her to him. I told her the plan of how we were going to escape and how vital it is for her to follow it. She looked so small in that cage but I dared not let her out until she could assure me she knew what to do. With a silent prayer I unlocked the door and fitted her with handcuffs. She cried continuously while we did our slow walk to the room that was meant to be her death. I tried to provide reassurance as non verbally as I could. Before entering the room I gave her hands a quick squeeze and a confident nod of my head. All I got back was dark holes of fear which was not at all confident. The hunts man was dressed in a formal suit as if this was a black tie event. He offered me a flute of champagne and knelt down to charlottes level. With a Hollywood grin he announced himself "Today is your lucky day as your about to become a star and I will be the director". Charlotte tried to bolt but to keep up appearances I cut her off and carried her to the chair.

Awakening
She was warm; she must still be dreaming. She was laying on the softest material she had ever felt, covered by a heavy blanket that felt to be of a young animals fur. The heaviness had a comfort all its own. Reluctantly she opened her eyes. Surveying the room she found it to be fairly sparse, but cozy, early morning sun streaming in through the blinds. A drinking horn and a pitcher sat on the little table near the bed. There appeared to be 3 sets of clothing folded on another table toward the foot of the bed, next to a full length mirror. The wooden floor was littered with rugs and furs and there were 2 doors; one assuming leading to another room, one to a bathroom.

The Blood Bath
Baharsh and the High Commander were interrupted by the watcher's unmistakable rage filled bellow, followed by a scream of pain, then one of panic that was quickly stifled. As one, he and Reihnash ran from the conference room toward the courtyard of the compound. As they reached the entry way, a crowd of demons had already gathered and formed a circle; they had to push their way through.
