Why not try a BEDTIME STORY instead?
Have you ever experienced something that you just couldn’t quite figure out? Well not in a scientific or logical way but to you was as real as being alive! Do you still think about it? Has it left you confused and wondering exactly what it was you had seen, felt, heard or even interacted with? I had my first experience at the age of three. I have always remembered it and thought about it often. However, it wasn’t until my eighteenth birthday party when my dad had told me some history about the place we had lived in back when I was three. I was fixated on every word emitting out of his mouth. Completely wide eyed at what he was telling me and in that moment everything suddenly became clearly vivid and actually made sense to me. Almost as though what I had experienced all those years previous had been validated, made real. At least in my mind. It’s one thing to have an unexplained encounter on your own but to share certain happenings of an unnatural occurrence with others really resonates in a comforting , yet somewhat eerie way.

Be Careful When Adopting
Due to some medical problems I have, I was told I would probably never be able to carry a child of my own. Being so many kids need to be adopted we decided to go that route. We honestly didn’t care how old the child was, what race, or what gender. We just wanted to give a child a good home. We have wanted to be parents ever since we first got married ten years ago.

The Owl Menace
It was a brisk, cold autumn sunset in the small New England town of West Chesterford, Massachusetts when my wife and I walked down the street toward a local coffee shop. We looked around at the many colorful reds, oranges, and yellows that filled the sky from the many trees around us whose leaves had changed colors and revealed their full splendor. Sadie's First Date
I ran my hand through my hair one last time making sure it was in place and took a deep breath before stepping into the dimly lit restaurant. I started towards the hostess stand, hoping to be directed to the table where he would be waiting for me. That's when I saw him. He looked perfect. His dark hair was perfectly tousled and a few strands hung down over one eye. His dark eyes were focused on the glass of merlot sitting in front of him. His facial hair framed those sexy lips perfectly. I held my breath and began to walk towards the table.

The first beating of footsteps behind Andrew quickens his heart, but they sound pretty far away, so he keeps his pace. The second pair ignites fear and Andrew briefly considers taking off in a run when a hand comes in contact with his shoulder. His head spins as he’s pinned face-first against the cool brick of the now confining building outlining the left side of the alleyway.

Beneath
There’s a man who lives beneath the streets. People say you can’t be sure about such things, but I am, I know he’s there. And it must be the streets, it must be, there’s just nowhere else to hide. No secret places, no escape from the village of Greendale. Quaint two-story houses, with useless empty backyards; corner shops with abhorrent prices; sprawling flat fields, filled with ankle-high grass. Nothing else to use but the streets. I can see him, twisting under the manhole covers and mashing through the slender pipes beneath, to reach into our lives. No need to creep in the night or slink past the residents of Greendale during the day. He watches us, always.

My brother's dead sisters were trying to warn us...
My stepfather was married before my mom, he was married to this beautiful biologist who caught a weird fungus on her skin and passed away fairly quickly, the tragedy is only worse when you take into consideration that she passed pregnant with twin girls, sadly, none of them made it.
