A The Last Of Us: Part II Experience
Another night, another nightmare. Another day, another panic attack. Just like her I keep seeing his face, hitting me as lightning bolts that shatter my spirit. The face I see is not the one I used to remember, and its shape is something more brutal and bloody, vehemently violating my soul. Battered, tormented, tortured. Covered in blood, desperately gasping for air. No chance of some last words or a proper goodbye: just one gaze which made us both realise that despite the tragedy that was going on he was telling us he was okay with what was happening and that, somehow, things would have been okay.

The Ghost Who Saved Me
I never believed in ghosts. I always thought that anyone who said that they had seen a ghost was talking nonsense. I was a firm believer that they were all in a person's imagination or that they had seen one too many horror films. Ghosts were pure fiction. I even laughed at my best friend when she told me about the ghost which would knock on her bedroom door every night, until the vicar came to bless her house. It was all mumbo jumbo. This was until around a year ago, it was then that I would see for myself that ghosts are real. Don't believe me? Well let me tell you about the night which I will never forget.

Vaya con Dios Maria. Top Story - April 2021.
“Good morning, Juliana,” I say. She doesn’t hear me or she’s just being rude, either way, she doesn’t answer me. We’ve been working together for years now. She works in produce, I’m a cashier. Honestly, I can’t remember the last time she’s said two words to me.

The Interrogation
Dr. Madeline Briggs entered the room and sat in front of the shackled child. The boy matched her gaze. His hands were cuffed to bars on either side of the table, a less than ideal place to try to understand the child, but she had to work with what she had.

Dream Demons
"Come with me" he said. I could not yet tell who he was but obediently I followed. I knew not where we were headed but it was a familiar place. Even still, it all felt too wrong. My feet were moving even though I willed them not to. It felt as if I was being lead into a trap; What was going on?

The Climb
After graduating from university, my boyfriend and I started sharing this attic apartment in an old house. Rent wasn't too bad and, while we were a little too far from downtown, at least we had our own bathroom and even a tiny kitchen. Most importantly, the house had its own washing machine and dryer, and since Rafael and I were both tired of dragging our laundry baskets to the nearest laundromat, that actually influenced our decision to move in.

Hale County
Prologue A brilliant flash of light lit up the small iron fenced cemetery, followed by a loud clap of thunder. Large drops of rain began pelting the century old headstones. The wrought-iron fencing leaned heavily in places, the soggy earth no longer able to support the cumbersome weight of the iron barrier after a half century of neglect. It was the oldest cemetery in Hale County. As the rain began falling harder, it was no doubt the last place anyone wanted to be, especially Sheriff Jake Hooks.

1997
Sandra limped into the building, shutting the door quietly behind her. Panting, she leaned against the door and listened. In the distance, she could hear shouting, growling, and groans, but the noises seemed to move away. Carefully, she eased off the door and checked for a lock. No luck. It was an exterior stairwell door and probably had to remain unlocked during business hours.
