THE BERMUDA TRIANGLE

In the past two centuries, 20 aircraft, 50 vessels, and numerous individuals have mysteriously disappeared within a small region in the Atlantic Ocean. This area is commonly referred to as the "Bermuda Triangle" or the "Devil's Triangle." It serves as a watery graveyard where countless wrecks have been discovered by researchers throughout the years. Various scientific theories have been formulated in an attempt to understand the phenomena occurring in this location. This concept, accompanied by fear, has gained widespread attention, leading to the creation of numerous books and documentaries seeking to provide evidence of the peculiar occurrences within this triangular expanse of water. There is an enigmatic phenomenon taking place beneath the ocean's surface, beyond the reach of sunlight, that remains unexplained.

In this article, we will elucidate the enigma of the Bermuda Triangle and elucidate why this treacherous expanse of sea has captivated the inquisitiveness and trepidation of countless individuals. It is widely acknowledged as this region of water in the Northern Atlantic, spanning from Miami to San Juan to Bermuda. The enigma at hand essentially commenced back in 1492 with Christopher Columbus. This is where the most significant moment of realization of the era occurs in this individual's mind. Columbus is endeavoring to reach Asia and he traverses this triangular expanse of water, and this is where things become peculiar. Columbus meticulously documented his experiences. On September 13th, 1492, Columbus recounts that as he journeys along this path, something peculiar begins to happen with his compass. On this particular day, "at the onset of the night, the needles veered half a point towards the northwest, and by morning, they veered even more towards the northwest." Astonishing. Eerie, Christopher. However, the strangeness does not cease there. He also observed the sea surging and a peculiar luminescence in the distance. He likened it to a flickering wax candle moving up and down. What is occurring in this vicinity? The enigma persisted throughout the ages.

In 1606, whilst journeying through the triangle, a substantial English vessel transporting 150 voyagers became stranded at Bermuda after encountering a colossal tempest. Although this wasn't enigmatic, as it was merely atmospheric conditions, it left an impact on how individuals perceived this expanse of water. In reality, it is believed that this maritime disaster influenced Shakespeare's drama, "The Tempest," which frequently alluded to Bermuda, or Bermoothes, as being plagued or accursed.

Next in line is 1881. This vessel is voyaging from Liverpool to New York City. When it traverses the triangle, the individuals on board claim to have encountered a phantom vessel with nobody on board. There are differing accounts about precisely what occurred, but the individuals on board generally recounted that some of the crew opted to board the apparition ship, but then the ships were separated by an immense tempest. When they were reunited with the phantom ship the following day, there was no sign of the crew. This phenomenon is quite eerie if accurate. However, hold on, because we're just beginning, as when we reach the 20th Century, that's when the Bermuda Triangle, as an enigmatic body of water, began to attract a lot of attention.

In February, 1918, one of the largest vessels of the US Navy, the USS Cyclops, was transporting 300 individuals from Salvador, Brazil to Baltimore, Maryland. The course passes directly through the Bermuda Triangle, but the ship never reached Baltimore. Despite having the capability to do so, The Cyclops never issued an SOS distress call. No wreckage was ever discovered. As an article published a few years after the vanishing stated, "Typically, a wooden pail or a cork life preserver recognized as belonging to a lost ship is recovered after a catastrophe, but that was not the case with the Cyclops." "It simply vanished as if some colossal sea creature had snatched it, along with the crew, and plunged it into the depths of the ocean." In an official declaration, the US Navy proclaimed, quote, "The disappearance of the vessel has been one of the most perplexing enigmas in the chronicles of the Navy." That is an official statement. Once again, quite eerie. Oh, and the Navy vessels continued to vanish. In 1941, the USS Proteus, carrying 58 passengers and a significant amount of metal, abruptly disappeared within the Bermuda Triangle. And then, one month later, another Navy ship vanished. A total of 61 individuals on board were completely gone. However, it wasn't until 1945 when people began to grow highly suspicious. This is when a group of World War II aircrafts were conducting a three-hour exercise over Grand Bahama Island, flying out and then returning to their airbase in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. But these planes never returned, and the disappearances continued to occur. A long-distance flight with 25 individuals and six crew members vanished in the triangle without a trace in 1948. And a year later, the same exact model of aircraft experienced the same fate. In total, there have been over 70 unexplained disappearances in this small area of ocean, where many years ago, Columbus observed peculiar compass behavior.

As time passed, an increasing number of individuals began to take notice. A writer in the 1950s remarked, stating, "There have been other vanishings in this expanse of ocean behind our homes; and always the official record, when it is ultimately concluded, contains a foreboding notation: 'No trace discovered.'" Then, in 1964, the term "Bermuda Triangle" was officially coined in an article. Vincent Gadace confidently asserted, stating, "Sea distances are relatively brief." Referring to the Bermuda Triangle. "And yet this relatively limited region is the site of disappearances that far exceed the laws of probability." People sought answers. A decade later, a book was published. The author delves deeply into the subject and makes the argument that something truly extraordinary is occurring in the Bermuda Triangle. It is not solely attributable to adverse weather conditions. This enigmatic stretch of water is in fact a portal to something much grander. Furthermore, the author fearlessly explores alternative theories concerning ancient civilizations and the residual energy left behind by those civilizations, which may be influencing this area. It involves magnets, crystals, wormholes, and the disruption of spacetime. These forces link us to the physical potential of our universe. All of this is revealed to us through the mysterious disappearances in the Bermuda Triangle. No, no, no! Come on, folks. I hope nobody was genuinely following me down that convoluted path because you cannot read a book like this, discuss a multitude of enigmatic phenomena, and consider it as evidence. That is not the purpose of this book. I was genuinely intrigued for a moment. However, as I delved into all the disappearances, it began to focus on absurd notions such as crystals and extraterrestrial beings coming to save humanity from nuclear fusion. We cannot do this. We cannot present a handful of data points, even if they are factually accurate but separated by centuries, and proclaim that it proves this particular section of the ocean is cursed. What astonishes me is that this book, the one that truly popularized the Bermuda Triangle, sold over 14 million copies worldwide. It was translated into 22 languages, despite containing numerous invalidating errors. Nevertheless, let us continue with this Bermuda Triangle narrative because there is actually a very satisfying, evidence-based explanation for all of these disappearances.

Many tales are circulating in this region but ultimately the enigma behind the Bermuda triangle may have been unraveled. A team of American scientists from the University of Colorado examined satellite weather images of this notorious area and observed a series of peculiar hexagonal clouds on them. The meteorologists hypothesized that these clouds might function as genuine air explosives. It is believed that they are the primary cause of the lethal eruption of air which can easily surpass 170 miles per hour. These winds of hurricane-force essentially ignite the air and can generate waves exceeding 45 feet in length. No vessel can survive such a tempest and no aircraft can withstand such a detonation. Clouds typically do not form straight boundaries. However, based on the satellite images, the Bermuda triangle is an exception to this principle. The declaration of this hypothesis has ignited extensive further investigation. Scientists from around the globe are striving to ascertain the factors behind such aberrations.
