In October of 2018, a 26 year old American man had recently shown up on a trip to the city of Port Blair. The capital of the far off Andaman Islands that are an association domain of India. He spent time there in order to free himself from any diseases, or anything harmful to his body. But his next objective was both straightforward and seemed extremely crazy. He planned to bribe a few fishermen there, to take him to another universe and another reality. Literally.

You see, Port Blair is a cutting edge city; home to 140 000 people. But just 50 kilometers towards the west of present day Port Blair, is an old remnant of Mankind's past that no one is at any point permitted to enter for any reason. In that island, lives a little tribe, so called the Sentinelese, a hunter-gatherer tribe, that has no knowledge about the outside world. The only knowledge they know is merely a bow and arrow. To them, the year is still 20,000 BCE and they know nothing about the present day Port Blair.

Whenever they encounter normal people like us, their natural response is to act aggressively, and even kill the person that comes near them. Thus, the Indian government decided to make a restriction zone, therefore limiting the range of only 3 miles wide to respect them, and also to protect us. John Allen Chao, the 26 year old Asian American, was trying to get past the zone, and try to cross the zone, risking his own life, to spread Christianity. (kind of stupid in my opinion, cause the guy probably doesn’t know how to communicate, plus they don’t even understand hindi in any way).

Anyway, to understand why they do, we need to know how they were isolated for so long. A lot of scientists believed that, they were direct descendants of paleolithic hunter-gatherers from 50-75 thousand years ago. Of course, people tried to tamper with them the British did, and they manage to abduct 4 children and 2 parents with them to Port Blair. Both of them died of diseases, and frustrated the British; especially Portman.

“This expedition was not a success. We cannot be said to have done anything other than increase their general terror, and hostility, to all corners. It would’ve been better to leave the islanders alone.”

~Maurice Vidal Portman

Ever since then, due to the clumsiness of the British, the Sentinelese decided to act aggressively towards other visitors, in the coming future. But people are still visiting, which means a lot more people died. Of course, the Indian government took action. They have borders and guarded them to make sure that no one would ever go there to get only killed.

So, what happened to John Lennon Chao? (that was on purpose) He went there, with no knowledge of the history of the tribe, and ultimately got killed. No surprise there. They even killed 2 Indians and hung their bodies like scarecrows, a message the world, to never mess with them again.

THE END.
