Once upon a time there was a boy who was born with a disease that had no cure. He was 17 and could die at any moment. He has always lived in his parents' house, under the constant care of his mother.

One day he decided to go out alone and, with his mother's permission, walked around his court, looking at the shop windows and people passing by. When passing by a record store, he noticed the presence of a girl, about her age, who seemed to be made of tenderness and beauty.

It was love at first sight. He opened the door and walked in, not looking at anything but his beloved. Approaching timidly, he reached the counter where she was. When he saw him, she gave him a smile and asked if she could help him with anything. It was the most beautiful smile he had ever seen, and the emotion was so strong that he could barely say that he wanted to buy a CD.

He took the first one he found, without even looking at who it was and said:

-This one…

-Do you want it gift-wrapped? – asked the girl, smiling even more…

He shook his head to say yes and said:

-It's for myself but I would like you to wrap it. She left the counter and came back a little later with the CD very well packed. He took the package and left, dying to stay there, admiring that divine figure.

From that day forward, every afternoon he would go back to the record store and buy a random CD. Every time the girl left the counter and came back with an increasingly well-made package, which he kept in the closet, without even opening it.

He was in love, but he was afraid of her reaction, and so, as much as she always welcomed him with a sweet smile, he didn't have the courage to ask her out and talk.

He commented on this with his mother and she encouraged him, very much, to ask her out. One day, he plucked up courage and went to the store. Like every day he bought another CD and, as usual, she went to wrap it up. When she wasn't looking, he hid a piece of paper with his name and phone number on the counter and ran out of the store.

The next day the phone rang and the young man's mother answered. It was the girl asking for him. The mother, disconsolate, didn't even ask who she was, she started sobbing and said:

-So, you don't know? She passed away this morning.

Later, the mother went into her son's room to look at his clothes and was very surprised by the amount of CDs, all wrapped up. She got curious and decided to open one of them. As she did so, she saw a small piece of paper fall out, on which it was written:

You're very nice, don't you want to ask me out? I would love.

Thrilled, her mother opened another CD and from it also fell a paper that said the same, and so everyone she opened brought a message of affection and the hope of meeting that boy.

That's life: don't wait too long to tell someone special what you feel.

Say it now; Tomorow may be too late.

Enjoy and speak, write, telephone and say what has not yet been said.

Don't leave it for tomorrow. Who knows, don't give it more time...
