How Hitler brainwashed an entire nation?

Have you heard about the famous dictator Adolf Hitler? I am sure you did. But do you know how he captured Germany and how he managed to manipulate Germans in order to obtain all kinds of power? Basically, he used three rules to get he established himself as a dictator.

Which three methods helped him to become the dictator?

The Greek philosopher Aristotle had that basically, 3 techniques are there to convince people. They are Ethos, Logos, and Pathos. Yes, the famous 3 things are also included in the MBA course these days to run a venture but Hitler proved that it can be used in obtaining the highest power in a country

I would like to take an example of a smartphone to give you an overview of these three methods

Ethos: It means to establish an authority to pass certain points. For example, they will tell them that buy this smartphone because 90% of the gamers certified that it is good.

Logos: It means to use logic to establish an argument. As an example "This phone has a such a feature which will run any game smoothly.

Pathos: It means to use emotions. As an example "Buy this smartphone because that is produced by a gaming company which belongs to your country and created by your countryman". When you will hear that it is built by a famous or your favorite company or it is a company of your country then it is more likely that you will pursue it.

But when you are selling something toxic product like a cigarette then you have no such argument to represent but when you are likely to use emotion means pathos to attract your customers.

Using pathos to win the election:

Hitler attained power in March 1933. But how had done that people voted for him despite being a dictator. He basically picked up "Pathos" or playing with emotions as his weapon.

All he tried to explain is "If you love your country then vote for me, if you respect your soldiers then vote for me. Which is basically using ethos. Many people get convinced by such words but a logical and intellectual

person will always try to break down things and may ask why they should vote for him even if they respect the soldiers. Now let's discuss how Hitler executed his master plan to become a dictator.

Manipulating information and logic:

But still, Ethos is not enough to Dictator make someone a dictator. He has to eradicate logic and this is what Hitler did. On 10th May 1933, about 25,000 books were burnt by the Nazi party. They called the books “Un-German” or “Anti-national”. Almost all kinds of books were burnt. This could be literature, liberalism, Marxist literature, or books that were written by foreigners or Jews. In short the kinds of books that the Nazis party believed went against their party. Later Joseph Goebbels who was a propaganda minister at that time answered this by saying that “The future German man will not be just a man of books but a man of character”. At this time such type of article published was enough to demoralize logic completely. Like “Pure reason was all too human, and dangerous and contrary to nature when applied to real life

Blood and race lead people to power to the power of nature, the spirit that flows

pseudoscience was also largely noticed where they used to spread such kind of information that

Germans were of a superior race and the other people comes into the sub-human category. In this situation

there were people like historians, professors, and scientists, who were being oppressed. Educational institutes like Universities and colleges were under the control of Nazis where they used to control professors so that no one could go against them. As an example, Hanns Hörbiger an Austrian engineer once claimed that the moon is made of ice and last night he had dreamt about that, and also the other planet also must be made up of ice. It is called the "World Ice Theory". Of course, It sounds logically incorrect but people like Hitler promoted the theory, and guess the inventor got an honorary degree for that.

Albert Einstein Vs Hitler

Though maximum of the professors in Germany was not against Hitler and the Nazis except Einstein. He had openly criticized that dictatorship. Even he left his job at the Prussian academy of science as it was a part of a protest for 

him. He was so much frustrated that once he stated that he wanted to leave the country as well as wanted to dump his German passport. He didn't want to be a citizen of such country where equality was lost. At that period yellow journalism and puppet media in Germany started to make fun of Einstein. He was labeled as anti-nationalist and trolled over the country in many shapes of the cartoon. Not only this his scientific papers were burnt also. He also was made to be the number one public enemy.

in England where he received 24/7 security guards were with him.

Targeting Jews as the enemy:

Another famous technique of Hitler was to create fake enemies so that he could create fear among the Germans. To be honest Hitler had a hard corner for Jews since childhood as his ruthless father didn't allow him to make any kind of friendship with any people related to Judaism which is also mentioned in Sal Writes Blog(I suggest you read this blog)But to use that as a base to scare the citizens and to portray himself as the hero who would save the country from these fictional enemies. In this case, the enemies were Jews. Conspiracy theories were created and dubious news was spread that Jews were responsible for the defeat of Germany in world war 1. He was trying to display how the Jews were the internal enemies of the nation who were destroying the country. Even they were accused of the crashing of the German economy.

This is obviously wrong because there 1,00,000 Jews in the German military and 12,000 were martyred in the war. When the Nazi party spoke about socialism, Jews were blamed for capitalism.

Basically, they used to think that Jews were moneylenders who hoarded all their money among themselves but when Nazis started to take funds from corporate which was pure crony capitalism then the Jews were

blamed for communism. They were equally blamed for capitalism, communism for losing the war, and also for the collapse of the economy. But still, the question is "Why did Germans believe Hitler?". That

because Hitler used to control all kinds of media movements and people used to get the information from scripted sources backed by Nazis.

Protroyting himself as a hero:

The next strategy of Hitler was to show himself as a messiah or savior. In a speech, he stated that if Jews captured the world with their Marxism creed mankind will be destroyed. In 1923 a biography book was written on Hitler where it was mentioned that Hitler is equivalent to Jesus Christ and that he

was the only person to save Germany. Later it was discovered that he wrote his biography by himself.

where he compared himself with Jesus Christ but while publishing the book, he used the name of his friend. 2 years later Hitler wrote his autobiography Mein Kampf where he mentioned that he came from a poor family and did physical labor which were not true.

Corporate funding:

one thing maybe pop on your mind if the media had to be bought by Hitler, how did he arrange money? This is possible to control journalists by pressurized them but still, there were people who seek money to work. Hitler used to get large funding. All of the renowned German companies that we know today funded Hitler. some years ago it was reported that because of public pressure, these companies paid compensatory funds to Jewish families.
