In the end most of them did go away.

The series finale of THE HAVES AND THE HAVES NOTS has left many fans very disturbed. Tyler Perry has been increasing the violence over the 8 year run of the popular show and Neilson ratings indicate that viewership was down over 1 million from season 7. The only person left standing was Hannah and she will probably end up in jail or a mental health facility. Wyatt Cryer died of a drug overdose and his mother Katherine was strangled on her jail cell. David and Jeffrey were blown up by a bomb and Benny and Veronica were gunned down. Candace was drowned by Jim who was run over by Hannah with her vehicle.

A cast reunion show was shown after the series finale and the only actor missing was John Schneider who portrayed Jim. The audience was basically female fans and Oprah also chimed in with her opinion. Now that the dust has settled there are number of viewers complaining that the violence was a bit much. Some say Tyler could have and should have done so much more with the award winning series.and the talented cast.

Initially the fans were sharing on social media that they were shocked that Perry killed off all the main characters. Some believe this was done so there would be no talk of a sequel. HAHN fans know for certain that Hannah survived but there are questions regarding Veronica. A woman came out of her home and was gunned down but some viewers are suggesting it could have been the maid. This happened in the dark and the face was not shown.

The final episode stunned long time viewers because it ended in a manner that left no hope for anyone. Some fans are saying that Tyler Perry misused his creativity in airing so much violence in one episode. When THE HAVES AND THE HAVE NOTS first premiered it was interesting and different from other prime time drama shows. Viewers tuned in each week to find out what would happen next. As time went on the violence and sex scenes became more explicit and the series lost some of its initial appeal.

Some fans thought that Jim Cryer would be similar to JR Rwing on DALLAS who would rule and rein in power through manipulation and bribes. Jim instead turned into a sadistic monster who had ties to the mob family the Malones. I’m the end they delivered Candace to him and the two had a final brutal scene where he held her head down in the tub and drowned her. Katherine threw her weight around in prison as if her money and power would save her.

Katherine’s lawyer would not get her out and she was supposed to be in a cell alone. She wax given a cellmste named Diamond who was related to Lizzie whom the Cryers had allowed to die. Not one of the inmates in nearby cells called for help as Diamond took Katherine’s life.Vieers know that such things happen in prison and fans are also aware that the mob is real. Everyone knows that each of these scenario’s has happened at some time or another but wonder what Tyler Perry was thinking.

To wipe out the entire cast in one episode wax gruesome. Tyler Perry has an amazing gift and to whom much is given much is required. Viewers get that Perry is playing to a specific audience but don’t believe anyone was really pleased with the way he killed off the cast.
