My Review of "Central Intelligence"
Central Intelligence is a comedy that came out back in 2016. I watched this movie when it first came out and I came out of it underwhelmed. There was something that I just couldn't grasp onto that bored me about this movie when I first saw it. Watching it now, I think it was just that I wasn't in the right frame of mind when I saw it.

My Review of "Bank of Dave"
Bank of Dave is a feel good story based on a true story that came out in 2023. I didn't hear much about this movie so it came out of nowhere. The thing that gravitated me towards it was the story premise. It's basically a David versus Goliath story that's based on real life events. That sounds like a recipe for success, at least it is for me when it comes to entertainment.

Kate and Brad’s Christmas plans are ruined when their flight is canceled. Since both of their parents are divorced, they travel around to each family. It’s an exhausting and festive time for each visit.

Spider-Man 2 came out in 2004. It was a much anticipated sequel. No one anticipated this movie to be as good as it was. Sequels are always considered inferior to the original. We still only have handful of franchises that show us how this is possible. I remember when this movie first came out. It blew our minds.

Ya know how sometimes you see a trailer for a movie and you think to yourself, “wow this is going to be terrible, I can’t wait to see it”? Well that was my exact thought process when I saw the trailer for 65 starring Adam Driver. We never got around to seeing it in the theaters but now that it's on Netflix we are finally diving in. Doing any dinosaur movie after the existence of Jurassic Park is super bold but here we go, my review of 65.

The Boy and the Heron. Top Story - December 2023.
Ever since watching My Neighbor Totoro with my husband I have been in love with Hayao Miyazaki and Studio Ghibli movies. When we heard that Miyazaki would be coming out with (yet another) final movie we both got very excited. The Boy and the Heron is a truly horrendous title for this movie but other than that it feels like the ultimate culmination of Miyazaki’s career and legacy.

Infinity Pool
There is a history of horror movies getting undervalued by awards season. Last year one in particular that drew attention was Mia Goth and her performance in Pearl. The movie as a whole was absolutely snubbed as its quality could most definitely go toe to toe with anything nominated last year. But we will have a more in depth discussion on that later.
