With the advancement of time, we see a sudden rise in demand for smart wearables in the market. These smartwatches are becoming more advanced than ever and include specs like fitness trackers, swim modes, and whatnot. These are also highly customizable; from new colorful straps for a quirky look to a classic black office look, the brands make sure all of the needs of the budding customers are met.

Here we present the best out of the newest launches of the season, march 2023, ranging from mid-range to flagship to suit your individual needs.

● Apple Watch Ultra

Retailed at ₹89,000 and regarded as the “most rugged and capable Apple Watch ever” by the company, this model comes with a 49mm titanium case, providing up to 36 hours of battery life with a 542mAh battery. It provides a solid yet fashionable build with a sapphire crystal front, ceramic/sapphire crystal back, and a robust titanium frame. One of the best features is its precision dual-frequency GPS providing an accurate location. It also has a ‘siren ’feature which emits an 86-decibel sound pattern to attract help which can be heard up to 600 feet or 180 meters away. The watch provides a 1.92-inch Retina LTPO Oled display with 2000 nits at its peak. This can be called the ultimate sports watch for athletes of all kinds and provides three types of straps: Alpine Loop, Trail Loop, and Ocean Band; for all kinds of activities and adventures. The model also has 100m water resistance and is 40m swim-proof/diving. The watch uses chipset Apple S8 and internal storage of 32GB. With its highly unique features and sleek design, this watch is a perfect buy for you if you are an athlete waiting to leave for your next adventure,

● Samsung Galaxy Watch 5

Retailed at ₹27,900 for the 40mm wifi model at ₹30,900 for the 44mm LTE model, Samsung has come up with another fantastic smartwatch; though not as big as the Galaxy Watch 5, it is a good pick for those who like their smart wearables in a smaller size. This is the first base version Samsung watch, which has a sapphire crystal screen, just like the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro, and it competes with the Apple Watch Ultra. The newer features that Samsung provides with this release include more meaningful gear battery life, a sapphire crystal screen, making it less prone to scratches, improved sleep tracking, and a new temperature sensor. The watch is 50m water resistant with an IP68 rating and has a super AMOLED display. A few other striking features the watch offers are ECG certification and a blood pressure monitor. This watch has a 410 mAh battery des good battery life for long days. The Galaxy Watch 5 has four colors: Graphite, Silver, Sapphire, and Pink Gold. The 3-in-1 BioActive feature of Samsung measures SpO2, heart rate, and body composition via BIA. The smartwatch keeps your health checked at all points, and one can roam tension-free with just a device in their hand.

● Google Pixel Watch

The first smartwatch by Google, is a watch Pixel phone users have been waiting for. Its collaboration with Fitbit’s fitness tracking features makes it a robust first-generation watch. Retailed at ₹31,999 with both LTE and Bluetooth variants, the watch comes in 2 classic colors: Matte black and silver gold. The best of both Google and Fitbit sounded too good to be true, and the watch does live up to the expectations and promises. Parallel to all the Google apps running smoothly, the health tracking features are as comprehensive as ever. The wearable experience is similar to the Apple watch series eight and thus can be considered one of the best smartwatches. To Google pixel phone users, the watch would feel like the phone’s extension on our wrists. From Google Maps to YouTube music, the watch has the highest number of Google apps among any Wear OS smartwatch. The watch provides 24 hours of battery life. However, unlike the Apple watch Ultra and the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5, the Google Pixel watch provides a curved Corning Gorilla Glass 5, which is less durable than the sapphire crystal display and could damage more easily. The watch is of unique size, 41mm. It is the only size available in the market. This watch is a fantastic buy. However, a few improvements, like two size options and more health sensors, would be a suitable upgrade in the second generation models.

● Fitbit Versa 3

Next in line comes the OG Fitbit Versa series. Retailed at ₹20,250, the Fitbit Versa 3 can be considered a great buy. This watch comes with an integrated GPS, which helps in real-time tracking. The 40mm AMOLED display is gorgeous and more prominent than the previous Versa 2. It also provides a SpO2, which measures your heart rate. The watch’s battery life is up to 6 days but reduces to half when set to always-on. The model comes on board with Alexa to help one answer their questions. The watch strap comes in 3 colors: Pink Gold, Midnight Blue, and a classic black band. The watch now comes with a built-in microphone and speaker, enabling you to take quick calls on the wrist. However, the watch’s bezels are thick compared to a few other competitors. There’s been a change in its side button design, and instead of a physical button, it is provided with a capacitive indent which is a bit troublesome for some but works smoothly for others. A major upgrade is a charger. Instead of a box-like USB charger, it has a small magnetic dock. This watch is cheaper than the Fitbit Sense, a bonus for Fitbit lovers.
