Brave Citizen Review: It's Not Everyone's Cup of Tea
I recently watched a Korean action comedy movie named Brave Citizen. Originally, this film was released in the month of October 2023, and so much content was released in between, because of which it has now been numbered. By the way, I have finished looking at this picture, so without taking much time, I will tell you how I liked it.

Truth -- that seems to be the theme for the films at the Oscars this year. What is truth? Is there such a thing? Can it ever truly be known? (Anatomy of a Fall)… Is it perception? (American Fiction)… Is it fluid, subject to interpretation? (Poor Things)… Is it disputable? (Nyad)… Is it timeless? (Past Lives)… Is it colored by history? (Oppenheimer)… Is it clouded by memory and nostalgia? (The Holdovers)… Is it based on perspective, bent by fame? (Maestro)… Is it subjective, controlled by a narrative or manipulated for personal gain? (May December)… Is it controlled by power? (Barbie)… Does it get rewritten? (Killers of the Flower Moon)… Does it become forgotten or ignored? (The Zone of Interest)… Is it purple? (The Color Purple)… (Okay, I struggled with that last one.)

Echo
The first episode of Echo was strong and though the internet had conflicting things to say about the overall show the first episode set forth an amazing thesis for the series. I can not wait to see where the rest of the series goes and I hope that it continues with the pace and tone that it started with. So let's dive into the next two episodes of the series.

My Review of "Drugstore June"
Drugstore June is a comedy that just came out in March of 2024. I rarely get to see comedies like this at theatres right away so I jumped at the opportunity. It's a very small independent movie so I'm not sure a lot of people have heard of this one. Let me tell you, it's definitely not for everyone, but if you get the humor, you're really going to like it!

My Review of "Ted Lasso: Season 2"
Ted Lasso: Season 2 is quite different from the first season but continues with it's charming storytelling. I immediately went into this season because I loved the first season so much. You will need to finish through the first season to understand what's going on in this season but it is quite different from the first.

Dune
Okay so I am new to this Dune fan train, I saw the first film just a couple of weeks ago on re-release and I fell in love with it immediately. Not only is the film itself a feat of filmmaking but the story is one of the best to be entered into the fantasy catalog. We just got back from seeing part 2 and I have many thoughts on the film itself and its apparent impact. But I will start by saying that I really hope they decide to dive into the second and third books and continue with the movies. Even if it's just the ones that center House Atreides, I am super in love with this story. And they definitely left the door open to continue.

My Review of "The Count of Monte Cristo"
The Count of Monte Cristo came out in 2002. At the time I was a young man and really gravitated to this movie. It made me want to read the classic novel later on. At the time I usually didn't like these types of period tales especially one that would take its time to tell the story. This is a two hour epic that doesn't have a lot of action involved in it. It was the build up of the characters and story that really drew me to this one.
