Laapataa Ladies Review

This week, lots of movies hit the cinemas, including one called "Laapataa Ladies" from Aamir Khan's film company (he was the hero in Dangal). Should you watch this movie or not? Let's chat about it.

The story of Laapata Ladies is set in a fictional village in India. You will get to see the time era of 2001, where it is shown that a boy has gotten married and is coming to his village with his wife, but the twist in the story comes when his wife changes from someone else. You will have to watch this movie, which I am sure will be available in your nearest cinema hall. The length of the movie would have been two hours and five minutes.

Laapataa Ladies Movie Review

If I wanted to review Laapataa Ladies in one line for you, I would just say that in this movie, the audience is missing from the cinema house. I mean, the audience says again and again that good content never comes from Bollywood, but when a good content movie comes, the audience remains busy watching a movie of a star kid or a big Bollywood actor, where you will get everything except the story, but there is no clue about the story.

And then, after coming out of the theater, they start criticizing the movie, saying that they did not enjoy it. Even Kareen Kapoor has clearly said that if you have so many problems with us, then why do you go to the cinema to watch our movies? I mean, a very simple story has been presented in a mind-blowing manner, which is completely worth watching.

Yes, the story is, of course, simple, but there is so much power in the presentation that you will be able to enjoy watching this movie. The type of message that we have tried to convey here with humor was definitely worth it.

The screenplay may feel slow at some places in the first half; at some places, this movie dips, but the buildup is happening.

The movie shines completely in the second half, where especially Ravi Kishan has done a wonderful job. His character is in a kind of gray shade; at some places he will make you laugh and offer you entertainment, and at some places he will also make you cry, and at some places they are also going to scare you.

Filmmakers should take notes on the message conveyed about feminism. It's crucial to understand the appropriate level at which to promote feminism in their work.

The star cast here is unknown; the three lead characters in the beginning are Sparsh, Pratiksha, and Nitanshi. All three have done their work well; their names are small, but the acting is not small at all.

Apart from this, the production value is quite decent; you get to see humor; I personally liked it; and some scenes were designed in such a way that you will be reminded of Rajkumar Hirani's movies after watching those scenes.

Not only this, the emotions, I guess, should have been a little better; they should have been a little stronger. The backdrop of this story is tier 2 and tier 3 cities, but friends, I guess the audience of tier 2 and tier 3 is not going to find this movie more appealing; most of its business is going to come from the audience of tier 1, that too, especially from the audience of multi-places. I believe so.

And the slightly regressive thinking shown here somehow downgrades people a little; I guess it would have been better if it had been balanced a little more.

Conclusion

To sum it up, Laapataa Ladies takes the cake. I'd rate it 7 out of 10 in terms of family friendliness. It's clean, with no nudity, vulgarity, or adult scenes. So, friends, that wraps up my review of Laapata Ladies. I hope you enjoyed the ride. Remember to hit the like button and subscribe!
