MCU Rewatch
As a companion series to An Idea of All Time my husband and I decided to rewatch all of the MCU movies in chronological order. This serves several purposes; 1) there is going to be a bit of an MCU drought for the next year as far as new releases go. 2) We want to properly place Shang-Chi in the MCU not just ranking it by quality but contextualizing it based on the existing universe. 3) We want to analyze how many of Shang-Chi’s problems are project specific and how many are MCU bred. So in addition to watching Shang-Chi every week we will be watching another MCU movie every week. We are of course starting with Iron Man.

Axel Foley Was Right! You Should Never Fall For a Banana In Your Tailpipe
Ahhhh! Beverly Hills! The land of palm trees, fast cars & even faster women. The ideal place for a vacay unless you're on the hunt for a murderous art dealer who had your best friend offed.

All India Rank 2024 Movie Review: Average for Me
Well-known writer Varun Grover as a director has made his debut with the movie All India Rank, which was originally released in cinemas in 2023. Unfortunately, I could not see this movie at that time, but salute to Netflix. Now you can enjoy this movie on Netflix, but I have already enjoyed it, so stay connected to know my reaction to it.

Can a Downton Abbey movie be successful without Maggie Smith's Violet Crawley?
Warning: This post contains spoilers from Downton Abbey: A New Era. Maggie Smith portrayed the Dowager Countess, Violet Crawley, for six seasons of Downton Abbey and in the two follow-up films. The second film, however, Downton Abbey: A New Era ended with a changing of the guard, so to speak, as Lady Violet passed away with her family surrounding her. Her death brought dismay to the fans of the series who'd fallen in love with her acerbic wit and clever machinations. According to producer Gareth Neame, in a report by the Los Angeles Times, Maggie Smith "only signed on to each season of the series on an annual basis." So her return was never guaranteed each season. To finally have her time come to an end, though, was heartbreaking to the cast, the crew, and the fans.
