Doctor Strange 2: 3 Ways It Worked As A Horror Film And 2 Ways It Failed
I'm a big admirer of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, so when I heard that Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness would be the first "horror" picture in the franchise, I was excited to see what director Sam Raimi had in store. And the outcome was...mixed.
Saving Private Ryan Review
We have seen it in Robert Capa's photographs, in war documentaries, in movies: the invasion of Normandy was the beginning of the end of German rule in Europe. In the early morning of June 6, 1944, the allied British and Canadian troops occupied Gold, Juno and Sword beaches, while the Americans entered through Utah and Omaha beaches in Vierville-sur-mer. The longest day(1962), by Darryl Zanuck, is a representative example of the tapes that Hollywood has offered us on the subject: an anonymous battle, without faces, of choreographed deaths, filled with false, hollow and false acts of courage. There is no blood, no shouting, no confusion, the soldiers seem to have been practicing the assault on the beach several days in advance, almost with the script in hand. Where are the two thousand four hundred casualties that the United States Army suffered during that day? Sublimated for the sake of art. Hidden, until now.

The first time I read Master Tolkien was The Silmarillion - I'm a bit of a nerd -, the reason I read this book first was because I wanted to start with 'the beginning of everything', sorry for the redundancy. To tell the truth, reading it was not easy at all, the language, all the names, the members of the elven families, the dwarves and etc... Then, I read The Hobbit and many things began to fit into the story, everything It fit perfectly and now, finally reading The Fellowship of the Ring, everything falls into place.

ngoc kien phamPublished 2 years ago in GeeksThe Madness of Doctor Strange and the Maddening Multiverse of Madness
We start with a hearty chase in, somewhere. Dr Strange and an unassuming teenager are running away from a tentacle monster, and I have seen far too much on the internet to know where this is going. Oh good god no. Anyway they have their path cut off by said monster, and Doctor Strange proceeds to trap it, clever. If you, like me, thought they would use this opportunity to have the teen go beyond and try to get to their destination, you would be completely wrong because Strange decides to suck the life out of the girl instead. Confusion is a good word to use here. This process is interrupted by the fact that the monster stabs Strange through the heart, following which she manages to monkey bar her way through the monster and get there anyway. She did get caught, but she got there. Imagine if she did that when the monster was trapped. The film would have been over. And we cannot have that now can we? Regardless, she panics, opens a star shaped portal and pulls herself, the tentacles, and the corpse of Strange to another reality.

The Lion King. A movie loosely based on Hamlet told with talking animals in a Lion Kingdom in Africa. Sarabi gives birth to a cub, named Simba, who is next in line to become King. This disappoints Scar, Mufasa's brother, so he sets out to kill Simba. Scar one day takes Simba out in the pride lands where he sets up for a pack of wildebeests for a stampede, Simba is caught up in the stampede and Mufasa tries to save him, but dies in the process. Scar tells Simba that it is his fault that his father died and tells him to runaway and never return, so he does. Several years later, Nala, one of the lionesses, is roaming through the jungle where she finds Simba. She persuades him to return home to become the rightful King of Pride Rock. He, Timon and Pumbaa, the two that helped bring him up, and Nala all return to Pride Rock. He fights with Scar who meets his death and Simba becomes King of Pride Rock. A happy ending for all, well, all except from Scar that is. The movie is an absolute classic with many unforgettable songs. It does however contain some scenes that are a little disturbing and traumatizing that has left people of all ages with nightmares over the past twenty years.

Dr. Strange and the Multiverse of Madness has made its world debut and Marvel Cinematic Universe fanatics such as myself couldn’t be happier. I am proud to say that this film accomplishes everything I predicted that it would in a previous article I published called “Dr. Strange and the Multiverse of Madness: Prediction of an Impact” where I gave an outlined prediction of what I believed was gonna take place in the MCU’s newest release as well as the impact I believed it was going to have.

Oskar Schindler (Liam Neeson) was a bon-vivant , a cynic, a womanizer, a spendthrift, an unscrupulous merchant, and a Nazi. However, this German-Czech saved from the Plaszow extermination camp – run by the paranoid and cruel commander Amon Goeth (Ralph Fiennes) – the 1,100 Jews who worked in his factory in Krakow. Schindler sought to make his fortune during World War II by taking advantage of his friendship with the Nazi leaders and the capital and cheap labor provided by the persecuted Jewish community; but he ended up becoming a hero, at the cost of risking his life and property for his workers.
