Days of our lives Beyond Salem is coming to Peacock
A limited 5 episodes will be shown and revolve around stolen jewels.
There is great news for soap fans as one daytime drama show is about to be live-streamed. PEACOCK will soon begin airing five episodes of DAYS OF OUR LIVES BEYOND SALEM. The series is a spinoff of the NBC soap and will bring past and present Salem residents together to solve a mystery. The big news is that Lisa Rinna will return as ISA agent Billy Reed to help find stolen jewels. Rinna began her run on the NBC soap in 1992 and left the series several times to return at later dates. She was married to Bo Brady, (Peter Reckel) until he reunited with the love of his life Hope Williams Brady and later died.
Billy was last seen in Salem in 2018 and Rinna's fans will be excited that she has returned. The actress currently stars on the reality show THE REAL WIVES OF HOLLYWOOD. The saga of BEYOND SALEM takes place over a long weekend and if the valuable jewels fall into the wrong hands there will be serious trouble. This is why Billy will travel the globe in a desperate attempt to find the gems. Along the way she will connect with a number of Salem residents who will find themselves in other locations.
DAYS fans should look forward to seeing the following characters. Marlena (Deidre Hall) and John (Drake Hogestyn), who will embark upon a romantic getaway to Zurich. Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) and Ciara (Victoria Konefal) will be on a trip to New Orleans while Chad (Billy Flynn) is going to visit old friends in Phoenix. Paulina (Jackée Harry), Abe (James Reynolds), Eli (Lamon Archey), and Lani (Sal Stowers), will all be vacationing in Miami.
It sounds like Billy will have her work cut out for her but there is no doubt that she will complete her mission. No names of other past Salem residents have been released at this time so it's not clear if Billy Reed will be the only one. Adds for the series says that DAYS OF OUR LIVES fans can expect the same action, romance, drama, and surprises that they have been accustomed to over the years. Viewers will enjoy spending a week with their favorite Salem couples and hopefully reconnect with some familiar faces from the past during the series limited run.
All of the DAYS characters will somehow be involved in trying to locate the stolen jewels, and the mystery should be solved by the last episode. Perhaps if ratings are high enough PEACOCK might call for additional episodes at a later date with different Salem residents who are in peril. This five episode mini series will be a race against time and fans should be on the edge of their seats. No premiere date has been given so loyal Days fans should be on the lookout for an announcement coming soon.
DAYS OF OUR LIVES was renewed for two years in May, which will take the long running daytime drama through its 58th season. There were rumors during the COVID hiatus that the sands had run out of the hourglass for the soap and that it might not be picked up. Fans. as well as the cast. breathed a collective sigh of relief when NBC announced a new contract was signed. Days takes place in the fictional Midwestern town of Salem where everything revolves around the Horton, Carver, DiMera, Brady, and Kiriaki families. DOOL is one of only four soaps that are currently remaining on the air and is the only one that airs on NBC.
