You Can Learn How to Read the Fictional Language in the 'Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild'
Like many others playing through 'Breath of the Wild', you've probably tried to read the mysterious Sheikah language.
If you're anything like the legions of gamers who now own the coveted Nintendo Switch, odds are that you are playing the long awaited Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild as well. Likely, you haven't finished the game yet, so be aware that there may be a few mild spoilers in this article.
So like many others playing through Breath of the Wild, you've probably discovered the mysterious Sheikah language. This language permeates through the entire game, even making an appearance on the special edition box set.
The Sheikah language is a mysterious addition to Breath of the Wild and thanks to a few faithful fans, we finally have uncovered how to translate Sheikah. A redditor, Sparkthedarkness, posted the key below and it's helping countless players understand the hidden messages within the game as well as locating Link's lost memories.
Since it looks as though the Sheikah language is simply just English in a different font, it's pretty easy to convert the ancient script into something more readable. But if you're really feeling the desire to become fluent, then thanks to another Redditor there's a quick little game that you can play through to learn the language better.
All the work that has gone into cracking the cypher of Sheikah has given players a lot of insight into the many secrets of Breath of the Wild, including the text on the special edition box, which translates to "The Hyrule Fantasy" backwards.
If you're not familiar with the history of the Zelda franchise, then you may not recognize that "The Hyrule Fantasy" is anything besides just another subtitle, when in fact it's the Japanese name of the very first The Legend of Zelda game.
