Okay, so during the Microsoft #E32017 Press Conference, Ubisoft showed up in a major way, with an official cinematic reveal trailer and five minutes of in-game footage for Assassin's Creed Origins that absolutely shocked countless fans of the #AssassinsCreed franchise.

In a surprising move by the developer, Assassin's Creed Origins was revealed to the world as the beginning of it all.

The rumors have pointed toward this idea over the last two years, but the team behind Assassin's Creed: Black Flag has been working on this new game for over four years, and #Ubisoft looks to have outdone themselves with the latest addition to the growing collection of games.

How is 'Origins' different than the rest of the franchise?

Well, there are actually a few ways that Assassin's Creed Origins has changed the game style from its predecessors. Origins will journey into one of the most mysterious places in history and will allow players that will shape the world and give rise to the Brotherhood of Assassins.

One of the most pivotal changes for the Assassin's Creed franchise is that the game has embraced a brand-new RPG system that allows players to level up, loot, and choose abilities to customize their very own character into a uniquely skilled assassin.

The customization that will be available within #AssassinsCreedOrigins will completely change how you play through the entire game.

As the beginning of the entire world of the assassins, the team at Ubisoft wanted to truly focus on allowing the player to devote themselves to one specific skill set or create an overall, powerfully balanced assassin.

We give players many avenues within the crafting system, within the inventory system, within the skills. So a concrete output of this means that you cannot assassinate anybody in the game with one shot... If you dedicate yourself to crafting your hidden blade, to increasing the damage that it can do, you may get there, but you have to dedicate yourself to it. - Ashraf Ismail (Game Director)

This change to an action #RPG style offers a unique shift in dynamic considering that in previous games, it was often seen as too simple to stealth kill through the entire story. Utilizing the skill tree and leveling up means that if you aren't careful you could find yourself caught in a difficult situation with overwhelming odds.

Assassin's Creed: Origins will be available on October 27th, 2017 on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
