Video game boss fights are a mostly challenging, aren't they?

Well they are supposed to be like that. Boss battles are one of the most interesting and beloved part of any video game. They offer an indulging and rewarding experience for the player who bears the fruit of hard earned victory by pushing their gaming skills to the limit.

However, over the years, video game developers have robbed gamers of earning this sweet victory by constantly raising the bar and creating bosses deadlier than before and if you're a gamer, you would know that nothing compares to defeating a boss who taunts constantly and continues to evade death.

Just for this pleasure, we gamers try our level best to achieve the bounty lying ahead the death of these behemoths.

5. Genichiro Ashina - Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice

Genichiro Ashina Phase 3

Genichiro Ashina ... the guy who remains alive even after killing him twice.

Sekiro plunges the players in a direct combat with Genichiro Ashina in the initial stages of the game, where most of us are barely surviving against basic opponents. The damage taken from this guy surely leaves a dent in your health bar.

Now as this is intended to be a content that you'll lose, Genichiro doesn't hold back offering up some pretty brutal combos, however people who have actually completed the game and have a know how of it, find the game to be a bit easier to handle. This wouldn't be wrong of them ,after all, when you've defeated the Owl father and the monkey boss, Genichiro here without his lightning gimmicks is much easier.

Yet still, the game completely robs you of a victory, just when you thought that Genichiro was defeated, Wolfy gets distracted and he powers up. A sly move indeed!!

4. Khotun Khan - Ghost Of Tsushima

The Mongol

The fantastically engaging Ghost Of Tsushima expertly rewards players who analyze battles before leaping into the fray. With careful planning you can take down the majority of enemies before they even know whats going on, making a final assault all the more rewarding when the remaining goons call for help only to find absolutely no one left alive.

However even if you're an utter master at offence and defence, nothing will prepare you for Khotun Khan, who straight-up laughs at the concept of you ever beating him during your first encounter. Not only is he ridiculously hard, especially for new players, but even if you do whittle his health down to nothing, HE WON'T EVER STOP.

There's no secret ending to be obtained, he simply just ignores any incoming damage making you question why he was even given a health bar at all. This is a cruel trick to make you think you had a hope of winning, but the deck was stacked against us from the very start.

3. End Boss - Vanquish

Alpha and Bravo (drones of Victor Zaitsev)

Vanquish is simply an amazing experience. From the slide n'shoot gameplay to the well crafted storyline, the game doubles down on explosions and future gears at every event of the game.

Victor Zaitsv, the main antagonist, has been a thorn in the side of Sam and his team who brilliantly baits and jibes our hero over and over, so when it comes time to actually do battle with him one on one, he denies the player this scenario by fighting you two on one with some robot clones. let me repeat that... 2 ON 1 !!! as if beating one of them was not hard enough. Both the drones are equally overpowered with the ability to fly and shoot at will. Their ammunition seems limitless and their healt...INFINITE.

2. The Nameless King — Dark Souls III

Optional boss

A game worth mentioning where every fight seems a boss fight. Considering that this may well be the hardest battle in series, The Nameless King is made to be an optional boss in Dark Souls III. How often is a boss so difficult that its made optional??

The first phase of the fight involves fighting with the king’s dragon. It might be tempting to keep your distance, but doing so will result in the dragon taking flight — which is never a good thing. My only advice ,that seems to be affective in almost every game, is to aim for the head.

The second phase is much harder with the encounter with the Nameless King’s himself. The appearence and the background music of this boss is so outstanding and horrifying that the player losses any hope of wining even before the battle begins.Even a single special blow could result in an instant defeat. There are simply no shortcuts or easy outs in this boss battle.

1. Skolas — Destiny

The top of our list goes to a 4 armed beast in Destiny that offers another great foe which is the final boss of the House of wolves expansion - Skolas. The boss is a nightmare for dedicated players as they put in hours of work to inflict some damage to Skolas alongside their teammates.

After 30mins of Jumping, rolling and shooting around its well protected body and skolas would roar louder than ever. The fight was so demanding that developers had to modify the characteristics of Skolas to maintain the interest of their players, which included it's HP reduced to 50% and some combos removed. Even so, the kell of kells is still a challenge for a well engineered team who would be easily deafeated by the army of Fallen if not by Skolas itself.
