Kinkaid and the great Grand Canyon cover-up
Just 10 years after G E Kinkaid’s discovery of a huge complex cut out of the Grand Canyon rock in a cave located about 42 miles up the Colorado River from El Tovar Crystal Canyon, United States President Woodrow Wilson officially designated the area a national park, restricting access to vast areas of the geological wonder that would become one of continent's most popular tourist attractions.

The Paiute legend that spawned a giant Nevada mystery
The first part of this examination of the Smithsonian Institution’s role in suppressing evidence that giants once roamed the mountains and forests of North America focused on the man James Bailey introduced to audiences in Boston, New York and Philadelphia in 1894 as the Pennsylvania Giant, but it’s just one of many similar accounts relating to giants that filled newspapers and journals across the continent before and after the outbreak of World War I.

When Boston and Bailey stood in awe of the Pennsylvania Giant
Fee-fi-fo-fum... we all know the line from the classic fairytale, “Jack And The Beanstalk”, but that’s about the extent of most people’s knowledge on the subject of giants. Yes, there’s Roald Dahl’s “The BFG” too, but it’s a subject that’s been deeply buried in folklore for eons, although less than 140 years ago the people of Boston, New York and Philadelphia were turning up in their thousands to see a man James Bailey – the partner of the “greatest showman”, prior to Phineas Taylor Barnum’s death in 1891 – was heralding as the “Pennsylvania Giant”.

The Divine Polarity: Jung, Iron John, and the Twin Flame Masculine–Feminine Archetypes
The relationship between masculine and feminine energies has been explored across psychology, mythology, and metaphysical traditions for more than a century. Although these frameworks differ in language and methodology, they share a common preoccupation with polarity, complementarity, and the consequences of imbalance. Carl Jung’s theory of the anima and animus, Robert Bly’s mythopoetic account of the wounded masculine in Iron John , and the contemporary metaphysical narrative of the Divine Feminine and Divine Masculine each articulate a distinct but overlapping vision of how masculine and feminine forces shape human development. When examined together, these systems reveal a deeper continuity: each describes a structure of complementary energies whose integration is essential for psychological, cultural, and spiritual wholeness.

Stop Poisoning Us
I sat at my kitchen table this morning staring at a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. it was made on basic store brand white bread, the one most of us have to buy because we're all balancing a household budget on the edge of a fucking razor. I've bought this stupid cheap bread for years and it's usually so soft and squishy, it falls apart while you're eating it. Not today. It was stiff and dense and weird and rubbery... I took a bite and it just felt off . Fake.

TED Talks and Motivational Speeches vs. Effective Sermons
Some pastors are giving more TED talks and motivational speeches than sermons from the pulpit on Sunday mornings. Many modern church leaders are shifting their preaching style from traditional biblical exposition to motivational talks and TED-style presentations, focusing heavily on self-help, personal success, and practical psychology rather than on deep theological study and spiritual group.

How “Soft Gambling” Is Reaching Every Age Group
Gambling used to have a fairly obvious image: casinos, betting shops, poker tables and lottery tickets. Today, it can look very different. A spin of a digital wheel, a mystery prize in a video game, a sports-betting promotion during a match, or an app notification promising a “boost” can all introduce gambling-like experiences without looking like traditional gambling.
