UFO's and The New Cold War

Is a new arms race for "exotic technology" about to begin?

In recent times, it feels as if we are being inundated with news stories pertaining to the existence of extraterrestrial life. Whether it be subtle hints eluding to the presence of unknown aircraft around our military instillations, right the way to the revelations of captured UFO's and their occupants from military whistleblower David Grusch, it is impossible to deny there has been an uptick in the frequency of such stories.

In our somewhat nihilistic age, most of us tend to shrug off such notions as being merely a bizarre quirk of a troubling and perplexing epoch. The concept of us not being alone in the universe doesn't seem to reverberate amongst the masses with the gravitas one might expect. Simply put, nobody seems to really care. Despite this, there does seem to be certain forces out there that are determined to "meme" the UFO narrative into relevance.

For me, the big question is not whether we are alone in the universe. Instead, the most important question is why now? Why have governments, the media apparatus and other levers of power in the west seemingly co-ordinated to disclose information that was once held under lock and key away from the prying eyes of the public?

To answer this question, one must consider the current zeitgeist: For the first time since the fall of the Berlin Wall, The American Empire finds itself being thrust into a bipolar world once again. If Francis Fukuyama was correct in asserting that history ended with the collapse of the Soviet Union, the post Covid and post Ukraine era is where history has returned with a vengeance.

The age of empires is upon us once more. The American Empire's unrivalled dominance is facing an existential threat from the emerging partnership of China and Russia. And quite frankly, to those of us observing from outside the Washington power structure, it seems as if China and Russia have certainly caught the west cold. Even recent events such as the coup in Niger demonstrates how Russia and China are outmanoeuvring the west in this new game of proxy wars and colour revolutions.

So what does this have to do with UFO's? Well, everything. Especially if you come to the realisation that we have entered into a second cold war. One has to ask themselves; what would give you complete supremacy over your competitors? Once upon a time it was the Atom bomb, but that no longer applies because all the major nations of the world possess the capability for mutually assured destruction.

But let's think beyond the realms of our gauche technological reasoning. Try to imagine a technology that could be powered merely by the elements, and I am not referring to solar panels or wind turbines. I am talking about something that has the ability to traverse the length and breadth of the furthest reaches of space, using something that weighs as much as a grain of sand. Or what about a craft that can bend the fabric of time and space itself. Where the entire concept of travel becomes irrelevant. Instead of us travelling from point A to point B, point B comes to us. When you analyse some of the most fantastical UFO stories from recent history, you often find yourself confronted with technology that is capable of achieving such feats.

So now let's go even further with our thought experiment. Imagine if a country like the United States was in possession of such technology. Despite the seemingly internal and external shortcomings of the American Empire in recent years, such a technological breakthrough would quickly propel America head and shoulders above its geopolitical rivals. Because it doesn't really matter how many nuclear warheads you have, would you want to mess with an empire that could disarm your greatest weapons with consummate ease? If one recounts the Minot Air Force base UFO sighting during the cold war, UFO's are alleged to have done just that.

When analysing the contemporary UFO mystery in this fashion, I believe this provides the most credible answer as to why UFO's are becoming a major talking point of our time. In my opinion, we have entered into a hi-tech arms race, with UFO technology taking centre stage. Now I am aware that the very concept of UFO's divides opinion amongst believers and non-believers alike. And quite frankly, it doesn't matter if UFO's are real or not. For full disclosure I personally believe that it is possible that mankind has had contact with alien species, but ultimately that is irrelevant. Regardless of the veracity of some of the claims being made recently about UFO's, I am convinced that this is the reason UFO's have become such a hot topic as of late. Now I suppose it is up to you to decide whether we are at the dawning of a new age of technological wonderment or the American Empire is bluffing in order to spook its civilisational rivals. But one thing is for certain; As the second cold war begins to heat up, we will be hearing a lot more about UFO's in the future.
