Packrat PoetPublished 4 years ago in FuturismThe Sun Always Shines in Space
In 1941, Isaac Asimov was said to be the first ever to describe the process of using solar power in space and transmitting it to earth. The former professor and writer, presented the idea in one of his short stories, “Reason”. As terrestrial solar and wind power plants are limited to the time of day, and dependent on cloud interference, sunlight and wind speeds, space solar power is available 24/7, 365 days a year with no cloud or wind speed interruptions. As the Sun never stops shining in space,…

As Mars One is on a mission to establish settlement on Mars, they’ve discovered some very interesting facts about what happens to your body when you’ve set out on a 21 month mission to the red planet.
Tom CartneyPublished 4 years ago in FuturismWhy Max Polyakov and Others Have Been Involved In NewSpace Philosophies
Contributions Into Space Exploration The future of the space industry is promising; therefore, different corporate bodies and private companies are putting things in motion to make that possible. The chain of operation would be from a moon travel/colonization to space tourism. A few examples of entrepreneurs who have invested in this industry are Max Polyakov, Elon Musk, and Jeff Bezos. Each of them has a strategy that hopes to be successful when the time comes.
Liam MillerPublished 4 years ago in FuturismWhat If Earth Had Rings Like Saturn?
Jupiter has four sets of them made up of dust and particles due to its moons being bombarded by meteors. Uranus has 13, and recent thermal imaging shows they are the same temperature as the boiling point of liquid nitrogen. Saturn’s are made up of fragments of asteroids and comets, with pieces ranging in size from small icy specks to looming mountains.
See the Stars
One nightly ritual that should make a comeback is to see the stars. A simple yet effective way to remember our place in the universe and how small we really are when it comes to the cosmos. If you are going through troubles in your life, I believe it can be comforting to see the stars not only to realize that while our problems are serious and need to be dealt with, it is also good to realize the beauty in things and nothing is perhaps more beautiful than a clear, night sky where you can see the constellations, the full moon, and even a shooting star if you are lucky.
Basic Understanding of Astrophysics, Dark Matter, Dark Energy and Black Holes
Astrophysics - a branch of astronomy concerned with the physical nature of stars and other celestial bodies. The application of the laws and the ones of physics to the interpretation of astronomical observations
Stars
Stars are classified by their spectra (elements they absorb) & their temperature. There are seven main star types in order of lowering temperatures starting with O, B, A, F, G, K, & M. O & B stars are very bright & uncommon, while M stars are dim but common.

Get In Loser, We're Going to Outer Space
I don't know about anyone else, but boy am I tired of living on Earth right now. Maybe my agitation is more towards the people running Earth than the planet itself. Still, I'd like one day where I don't have to read headlines of fires burning down the amazon, rising sea levels, ignorant politicians, racism, homophobia, poverty, school shootings, animals going extinct, and now, a global pandemic. Sure - I will do my part as an Earthling to help change these horrible things, but that doesn't mean I don't need a break from it all. It's overwhelming, thank you very much.

The Spiders from Mars or How I'm Spending Time After Quarantine
When Governor Murphy gives the okay, I’m out of here. Straight down the turnpike and straight towards the sky to fly off in a thirty foot rocket full of cheese wiz and French Champlain. Ritz crackers lull me to sleep as I ascend & drift off through our compromised atmosphere. I float weightless around my new home as I journey on past the Moon past Venus to our first destination Mercury.
Emily JacobyPublished 4 years ago in Futurism Is the Earth Flat? The answer is NO!!!!!!
The belief that the Earth is flat has been described as the ultimate conspiracy theory. Members of the Flat Earth Society claim to believe the Earth is flat. Walking around on the planet's surface, it looks and feels flat, so they deem all evidence to the contrary, such as satellite photos of Earth as a sphere, to be fabrications of a "round Earth conspiracy" orchestrated by NASA and other government agencies.

At the beginning of the space race, there was a motion to put man in space fastest. No grammar did not matter the only thing that did matter was beating the Russians, except when it came to putting a woman in space. Russia beat us by almost 20 years by sending Cosmonaut Valentina Tereshkova. It was not because we did not have competent women ready to go to space, in fact, there were thirteen of them and they were called the Mercury Thirteen, but because at the time women were still seen as belonging in the kitchen.
