A recent New York Times article highlighted a system and part of the criminal justice system that most people aren’t aware of; Risk Management Systems and their use in sentencing convicted offenders, predicting recidivism rates, and even working to the likelihood of children to become criminal offenders later in life. Tools such as these are based in the sciences of Predictive Analytics, Behavioral Analysis, Pattern Recognition and Machine Learning.
Through the Eyes of a Newborn Child
In my earliest days I would be laid down in a crib, staring at everything surrounding me. Even when I was days old I had no comprehension whatsoever of the future or past. All I knew and acknowledged was the present day. So it did not at all seem strange to me that I was in my mother’s womb a mere week before. What was solely on my mind was curiosity about my environment and the people around me.

In 2005, an article regarding the importance of visual input vs auditory input in relation to spatial information gathering came out of Stanford University School of Medicine’s Department of Neurobiology. I hope that sentence was as fun to read as it was to write. To get us started on this topic, I want to throw a vocabulary term at you: visual capture. In the aforementioned article, visual capture is described as:
What is Gene Circuit Engineering?

Throughout the ages, all living organisms whether it is a small blade of grass or a blue whale all emit a form of energy. Energy in a way that is so transparent, so subtle, and yet, very definitive in nature. All living humans emit this kind of energy. But, mankind's ability to see or harness this energy other than for very minute things like a wristwatch which runs off of ones body heat remains pretty elusive. Remember, man has a natural internal temperature of 98.6 degrees Fahrenheit. Not only is body heat a form of energy but, cold blooded reptiles exhibit an all together more evasive kind of energy. Those Star Wars movies were Jedi Knights were the only ones privy and capable enough to understand and harness natural energy that is emitted from all living things in order to do remarkable feats is the type of energy man has sought for years to understand. It is also this kind of energy that has surrounded all life through-out history.

On a night as black as pitch comes the Horseman. It is said that all through-out history man has been tormented by the constant struggle between good and evil. Where good intentions are swept away by selfish desires. These selfish desires are now embedded in the conscious thoughts of man coursed by the temptations that the Horseman offers.

The science of Time! Long before H.G. Wells penned "The Time Machine" man has always been intrigued by it's concept. From DiVinci, Nostradamus, to Newton, to Einstein all have implied that the existence of a fourth dimension does exist. In many ways, Wells's narratives of his novels actually have come into existence. Like Jules Verne, science fiction of the 1800's has become today's reality.

I know, I know. It’s been days. But, you can relax now. I’m here. Oh, and Dave, of course. Dave is always here. Today we (but mostly I) are going to discuss the fun, exciting, and controversial topic of genetic manipulation! I’ll hold for applause.
A Wealth of Knowledge
There has been no other time in human history than in today’s era where the average person with access to the Internet can seemingly have unlimited amounts of information available to him or her. When you truly think about the magnitude of it, untold amounts of data are being created every day. According to IBM, “The current estimate is 2.5 quintillion bytes of data per day and over 90% of the data in the world today has been created in the past two years alone.”
Discovering Power
Science is similar to a good book. You latch on to a subject, you study it, and every time you blink, there’s something new—new research or studies, new medicines, new therapies, new technologies, new, new, new. It’s like opening Ulysses, reading the word “contransmagnificandjewbangtantiality,” and coming up with a new meaning every time. Don’t pretend that’s not your new favorite word.
Excerpt From "The Burning Years"
Peter, my maker, has recently told me, “Inanna, the burning years are about to kick into full throttle.” When I heard this from him, I knew none of the wars and fights and various ideologies and beliefs that keep humans apart will matter. We’ll all be forced to put them aside as we fight together for the survival of our planet and our species.
