Star Wars and LEGOs are a combination that is as old as time. The famous brick building company used to make all sorts of fun designs in the imagination has always teamed up with the galaxy far, far away. Being able to build some of the most iconic designs in Star Wars has always been a thrill for kids and Star Wars fans alike. Over the years there have been dozens of LEGO Sets created, from the Millennium Falcon to the Death Star itself. Thousands of little bricks have been put together by dedicated fans and LEGO enthusiasts alike. Many of them have become very expensive, and also really, really big. Well now LEGO has once again decided to take Star Wars LEGO to the next level with the unveiling of its latest property.

LEGO Star Wars has revealed a new LEGO AT-AT walker that is worth $800 and is said to be the size of a dog. It is one massive and expensive piece of LEGO set for Star Wars fans to add to their collection. However, it is one that is made with great detail as LEGO continues to create more and more of the most famous pieces of Star Wars iconography to add to the growing list of Star Wars fans who are entering our fandom. There are a whole lot of LEGO sets to build!

The AT-AT is one of the most iconic designs of Star Wars. First appearing in Empire Strikes Back, the AT-AT, or as some just call it, the Imperial Walker, has stunned many. It is one of the main vehicle of war that the Empire uses to crush the Rebel Alliance at the Battle of Hoth, giving the Rebels their most devastating defeat yet on screen. This famous walker is a fun design to have around the house, and to build in LEGO form, perhaps to even recreate that famous Battle of Hoth, or perhaps create your own unique story of Imperial aggression against helpless Rebel forces just like what happened in Empire Strikes Back.

Collecting has been something as old as time, and LEGO is no different. They have made replicas for all sorts of various properties and franchises throughout the years. Star Wars is no exception. Of course, the AT-AT walker is not anything new to LEGO Star Wars. Outside of toys, LEGO has been a staple of the Star Wars collection for generations. There have been dozens of versions made over the years and many Star Wars collectors love working on these sets. Each one is an important addition to a collection. Many fans will not mind having another version of the AT-AT walker around, especially if it means they get to have the joy of building it all over again, which can be a challenge, and a lot of fun as well.

As LEGO continues to expand its catalog of sets and designs, one hopes that they will incorporate more than just the original trilogy era LEGO sets into the mix as well. There are several wonderful designs from the prequel era that have yet to even make their way into LEGO form. Things like the General Grievous flagship the Invisible Hand, for instance, have not had a LEGO set. Of course, as the movies expand they should continue to expand the amount of sets made to include designs from the sequel trilogy, The Mandalorian, and other spin-off series. In addition, all the LEGO Star Wars games have been a success, so the continuing expansion between the two biggest corporations is always a match made in heaven.

Star Wars fans will always want to buy these LEGO sets because we love adding to our collection. We will always need whatever we can get our hands on. It does not matter how many AT-AT’s, X-Wing fighters, or Death Stars we have. If there is a new addition, boy, will we spend the money for that new addition. It shows a certain amount of passion among our fanbase that will go to great lengths in order to collect them. Hopefully, for many, many years to come, Lucasfilm and LEGO will continue to expand and build their productive relationship with one another and make even more awesome LEGOs for fans and collectors alike to build, but mostly important to have a lot of fun with.

After all, what is more fun than playing with our Star Wars toys!
