The World of Indie
What if... in the not so far future, the scientists of the world gathered together and created the most sophisticated artificial intelligence being that has ever existed? And, what if... that "robot" was special because of its unique ability to not just gain knowledge from the world wide web, but also use reasoning? Its first and foremost program would be to use this knowledge to help humankind flourish and prosper. Its prime directive would always be to protect humankind and never to harm.
Linda PaulPublished 5 years ago in FuturismReality or Fiction? Surveillance Society
Control and Choice: Banality of Surveillance sutured into The Truman Show and Black Mirror: Bandersnatch. Nowadays, surveillance that we all know is the centre and the universal feature of our social lives. Due to the massive technological innovations, only in our modern times, we created this systematic, and needless to say, invasive system where surveillance is everywhere. Even though its origin might seem that it comes from the eleventh century from Domesday Book, the evolution of surveillance throughout the centuries (especially nineteenth century) was climactic. In a very paradoxical way, surveillance society grew at the same time with democracy, and with the “demand for equality” movement. The reason why this feature made its way in our lives so quickly is owed to multiple factors that strongly influenced and helped surveillance to, inevitably, be a part of who we are right now. The key factors of this global phenomenon are government administration, the business that constructs and builds the capitalistic environment, and also the military growth, and industrialization of cities and towns. It was, and is, a means of power; but not merely in the sense that surveillance enhances the position of those 'in power'.
Denis PinzariuPublished 5 years ago in FuturismThe Centurion and the Bear
Magnus was a strong and devoted soldier. His love for The Empire surpassed all things, including his life itself. He was a centurion, and had been offered higher positions but refused them all, choosing the mud, and the fight more than the horse, and the distance, and the wall of guards enjoyed by the Legatus.

I have always been totally open to things that aren't necessary scientifically proven. In fact, I tend to dwell pretty much solely in possibilities.
Linda PaulPublished 5 years ago in FuturismA Cashless Society
The idea of a cashless society, is it really such a good idea? Experts agree that it is, but looking at the data when it comes to crime, paper trails, cash management, bank fees, and identity theft, is it really a good idea? Although the advancement to a cashless society is futuristic, a few things must be addressed so society can be successful in this transition.
Aura Cleansing Bath
I am the self-proclaimed poster child for spiritual baths, and I am definitely here to push you city folk into taking one. I reside in the big ol' apple, New York City, home of the fearless pigeons, crocodiles in the sewer system, and the unmistakable gritty, grimy, New York City State of Mind. Seriously though, there are so many reasons to love this place, and it surely has my heart, BUT I am a highly sensitive, clairvoyant, intuitive empath. So, the reasons why I love NYC, are some of the same reasons why I (and maybe you) need to take SEVERAL spiritual baths a week.

Robert LeaPublished 5 years ago in FuturismNumerology: Number 3
THE MEANING OF NUMBER 3 In the quest of understanding humans' lives, people are identified by different aspects, not merely a number; however, one number can tell a whole lot about someone and may narrow down various aspects about an individual's journey and daily life.

A few weeks ago, Men In Black: International arrived in theaters. Although I was mildly entertained by it, I was not a fan. Click here to see my review.
Jonathan SimPublished 5 years ago in FuturismKeanu Reeves, Time Lord
With the most recent flow of memes revolving the beloved actor, Keanu Reeves, especially those pertaining to the reveal of the new game Cyberpunk 2077 starring the aforementioned hero of modern society; I felt as though I should write a little about how I was introduced to Reeves as an actor and how it affected my way of thinking. I'm not going to get into every detail of the films, but at the very least explain the accuracy in terms of the theory itself.Keanu Reeves loves his fans, that definitely goes without saying. The way he interacts with them, talks to them. The best thing about him is the fact that he is absolutely genuine. From movies like The Matrix to John Wick, Keanu Reeves is an incredible badass. Though, I originally saw him as the lovable goof that is Ted "Theodore" Logan from the films Bill and Ted Excellent Adventure and Bogus Journey. The time traveling duo that was all about making music and loving bodacious babes.
'Captive State' (2019)
Light a match.Ignite a war. When I saw the trailer of Captive State for the first time, I was immediately overenthusiastic. It seemed like a suspenseful and action-rich Science Fiction about extraterrestrial dominance and their reign. I already imagined myself a kind of movie as Independence Day or War of the Worlds, with a sophisticated storyline as presented in Arrival. Added to this is the existence of a rebellion of individuals against this alien occupation. And last but not least, they managed to get John Goodman to play one of the key roles. The very first thing that occurred to me was that I certainly wouldn’t let this film pass me by. This film was the reward after having to watch crap movies as Occupation and to a lesser extent Beyond Skyline. After seeing this “as I imagined” incomparable film, I had to conclude that my enthusiasm had dropped below freezing.
