MEN INTO MONSTERS
It is the kind of mission I’ve grown tired of doing. I am jaded and weary, a lethal combination of attributes to possess on one’s final mission of their final deployment. Weariness wears away at a soldier’s ability to react. Makes them complacent. And complacency is a death sentence to someone in my position.

Tora inspected the bruises under her eyes and above her eyebrows, she pulled her cheeks between her teeth to stretch the muscles that had been suctioned under the protective equipment. The young doctor made her way towards the Q-Ward exit and leaned her worn body over the reception desk to take the sign-out sheet.

I was aroused faintly at first by tinkling bells. Then the noise grew louder and louder as I came to. I finally opened my eyes only a slit.

A hole was developing in the bindings on his right foot. The word shoe had been left miles behind in a ripped and tangled trip hazard. This dune should bring him to The End. He’d been saying that for hours now. Or was it days? The sharp grass stabbing the arch of his foot brought him quickly out of the mental drift; concentration needed, watch the footing.
Dominic McGowanPublished 3 years ago in FuturismTHE EXTRATERRESTRIAL PROBABILITY
As a species, we can no longer believe that humans are the center of the universe. Our home galaxy, the Milky Way, is just one galaxy of a couple other trillion galaxies in the “observable universe” – which is only the region of universe that can be observed from Earth. There are more than 2,500 other solar systems (stars with orbiting planets) in our galaxy that we have found so far. Mathematically speaking, if one planet in a solar system is home to an extraterrestrial species, that would equate to 2,500 other species of beings that share our same galaxy alone – now multiply that by a trillion. It would be naïve, and dangerous, for us to continue believing no other life exist in the universe besides our own. It would also be naïve, and dangerous, for us to believe the intelligence communities of Earth have nothing to hide.

There has been a rumor within the Star Wars community that Disney and Lucasfilm want to remake the entire sequel trilogy. When Din Djarin put Grogu on the seeing stone in the ancient temple on Tython and The Child started his Force Zoom call, we all knew that we would eventually get to see the person on the receiving end of this communication. But what we didn’t know at this time was whom it would be. Some hoped for a live-action debut of Ezra Bridger. (We will probably have to wait for this a little longer.). Others thought that it would be Cal Kestis from the Jedi: Fallen Order video game. Some even imagined that Mace Windu would show up, having miraculously survived his fall from Palpatine’s office.

My steps pounding the stairs as I make my way to the roof of the school. My breath horse and my body aching already from my previous encounter with those boys—the bullies.

Posters, especially movie posters, are a big part of Star Wars culture. Artists like Ralph McQuarrie, Tom Jung, Tom Chantrell, Roger Kastel, and Drew Struzan have created pieces of art that are recognizable by people well outside the fandom, even if they don’t know the artists' names.

I stumbled down the street and sat in a wooden chair at an outdoor cafe. My mind was still racing, going a million miles an hour after that reading with my psychic. I couldn’t think straight. I didn’t know how anything magical could even happen in my life. I lived a quite ordinary life up until this point.

It was with a deep, almost preternatural sense of purpose – the kind that only surfaces a handful of times in our lives – that Mason decided to ride to the old Millford Hospital. He had been feeling cooped up in his small, basement apartment. The whining of the generator persisted inexorably, giving him headaches, while the meagre windows did little to bring in any substantial indication of the outside world. His footsteps back and forth through its modest rooms, only seemed to be retracing a journey increasingly pointed towards vacuity. In his head, he imagined them plotted out in a kind of cartesian timelapse – curving and overlapping ad infinitum, like the lines of a Jackson Pollock, stuck on repeat.

Robots. I never thought I would be living in a world where these things would actually exist. Not only exist but live as humans among us and even obtain citizenship. More and more, I see articles about AI and the more advanced they are becoming. Scientists are so excited about their inventions they've created. They have continued to work on turning robots more human-like as possible for many years. Some of these robots are made so well you really can't tell the difference between us and them. Almost. They have different ethnicities, languages, emotions etc. Of course, they even look perfect which I think could make some people feel insecure, which I know sounds weird. But that's not far-fetched because so many people, especially women are used to not putting up pictures without filters. Or used to getting multiple plastic surgeries. Looking fake seems to be in. Robots would be the ultimate standard beauty for many. Every day people think it's cool and are increasingly desensitized to these non-living beings.
