The alluring light of a nearby star captivated both man and machine. The astronaut and his companion looked on from the flight deck of their small spacecraft. They looked on as prominences reacted to each other across the sun, setting off radiant explosions of energy. The craft sat well outside the reach of any radioactive debris from the solar flare event. From this safe distance, the chaos of nature could be appreciated. As the solar arches danced beautifully before them, the astronaut opted to delay the craft’s launch time until the eruptions ceased.

Jeremy was cycling around his neighborhood one day, as he usually did. Suddenly, he felt a little bump on his bike, as he cycled past. He turned around and noticed something underneath a bunch of leaves on the ground, behind him. He brushed the leaves away to reveal a slightly damp and musty old little black book on the ground and decided to pick it up and open it. Inside was an address, nothing more. He thought it best to return it to its owners, so he decided to look up how to get there and cycled over. He came across a very old and rickety, but extremely fancy looking mansion, draped in black. He walked up to the large towering doors and knocked on it. Suddenly the doors creaked open and an elderly man greeted him.

What if I told you that all of humanity is living with amnesia, that they have forgotten their origins and roots. What if I told you that there is a society that spends huge amounts of money and time to continue to keep humanity in that particular amnesia. To keep us in constant ignorance and a semi-conscious state just to be passive consumers who unconsciously serve the system and do not ask any questions.

“The book, Miss Lorenson,” The tall man with the blue tie spoke again. He was losing his patience, and it wasn’t her fault. “Or you’ll never have access to the bank account again.” The man in the grey tie fingered the IV bag absentmindedly.
The Prophecy
Heavy footsteps echoed through a narrow, old, stone hallway as a tall man enveloped in dark robes rushed towards a jagged opening seemingly leading into darkness. He disappeared into the shadows and his footfalls could still be heard as he got further and further away. Outside, completely dark except for the light of the moon, the man emerged almost as if from nowhere had anyone been there to witness it. He ran, never tiring, clutching something in his arms. His pace only slowed with his destination in sight, a lone wharf with a small fishing boat and a waiting man covered in armour and a heavy cloak, a long sword in his hand. The running man slowed to a brisk walk, covering the wharf in a few steps, it’s creaking wood the only sounds in the quiet night.
