How the Final 30 Minuets of The Rise of Skywalker Tore Apart the Story.
(This article contains spoilers for The Rise of Skywalker, you have been warned) Love it or hate it, Star Wars is killing the game. Once the original movie came out in the 70's Star Wars has become so iconic, you can't mention the name Skywalker without someone having an opinion.
Sierra LynnPublished 4 years ago in FuturismWhy Star Wars the Rise of Skywalker Failed Us
I did not want to write this article. I was one the staunchest voices against the Last Jedi(TLJ). I wrote articles on it, I was against it on social media and I generally hated it altogether. But seeing the phenomenal bomb that was the Rise of Skywalker(ROS) I found my faith rekindled in Rian Johnson and for once I saw the light. This will not be a bashing rather a comparison between the two films and why TLJ is better.

Top 5 Moments from Star Wars
When we think of movie franchises, it is hard to ignore Star Wars. From the time the first film graced our screens in 1977, the space opera saga has grown into the second highest grossing franchise of all time, beating out the likes of Harry Potter and James Bond, which house some of the most iconic films the world of cinema has seen in recent years. This alone should speak volumes of how successful this franchise has grown - and now, even after 9 full feature films, 2 anthology films, eight animated TV series', and a brand new live action series, it doesn't show any signs of slowing down. Admittedly, Star Wars has had its fair share of problems in the recent past and while the future looks rather uncertain for how it will be proceeding, nobody can deny its rightful place as one of the most influential film franchises to ever exist.

Recently StarWars.com released an excerpt from the upcoming novelization of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker Expanded Edition by Rae Carson, which will be expanding on the film in various ways going as far to include deleted scenes which we will no doubt see when the film releases on digital, blu-ray, and invevitbaly streaming on Disney+. This is very similar to what was done with Star Wars: The Last Jedi's novelization as it included some of the deleted scenes from the film, therefore canonizing those scenes. The author Rae Carson of the novelization even noted on Twitter that the novel she is writing is longer than the theatrically released film by a half hour.

My initial plunge into Han Solo : A Star Wars story did not go so well. I believe this paragraph encapsulates the drudgery. Following the green screened air locomotive chase, “This Star Wars story was more like someone put a camera on a bank robbery and simply followed the characters along. Stressful and dramatic for the perpetrators but not necessarily for those who are being spoon fed the feed. I struggled to stay awake and soon walked out."

He’s a smuggler, a scoundrel, and a pilot who doesn’t take orders well. He’s also brash, cocky, and a bit rough round the edges. Yet to those who know and love him best, Han Solo is also “the good guy” who would not necessarily be “in it for the money,” such as the many times the former scrumrat from Corellia has proven himself to be a great ally to rebels fighting for a better world in a galaxy far, far away.

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic is my favorite video game of all time. Hands down, there is no other. I'm sure many will disagree and that's fine, they're probably not as big of a Star Wars geek as I am. But, this game made my childhood.

After the first images of The Mandalorian Disney+ series were unveiled at the Star Wars Celebration, fans everywhere have been patiently waiting for the first trailer to arrive. And now that moment has finally come courtesy of the D23 fan expo. Over the past four decades, the Star Wars franchise has been a force to be reckoned with in the film industry, and has changed the way we look at movies forever. From the original trilogy to the prequels, to the modern Star Wars films, these epic space operas have solidified a legacy and fanbase that can be best described as the stuff of legends. And while they have had success with animated shows like The Clone Wars, Rebels and Resistance, their endeavors in live-action on the small screen are non-existent. That's right, one of the most dominant franchises in the galaxy has never attempted to enter the scripted TV world with all the live-action trimmings. Well, all of that is about to change, because this first teaser for The Mandalorian means that Star Wars is finally ready to make the leap into live-action TV.
