What is a Key Party

So, what is a key party? A “key party” is another name for a swinger’s party that is held usually at someone’s house. The name comes from the traditional practice of the men placing their keys in a bowl when they enter. Toward the end of the night, the women will reach into the bowl and blindly grab one of the keys from the bowl. Whichever key she grabs, that is the guy she goes into a room with or even goes home with for naughty fun.

Though these types of parties have changed over the years, it is still not too uncommon to see this practice in action. However, in modern times, it is more common practice to just mingle around and hook up with whomever you or you and your partner take a liking to. Of course, this practice can also be adapted a bit and guys can surrender something other than their keys for the women to choose from.

So, to answer the question… what is a key party? It’s another name for an adult party of swingers and swappers that is held at a person’s house or on other private property of some kind. In other words, this is the “house party” version of the swinger’s party culture. For obvious reasons, it is usually only couples who are invited to these types of parties, though exceptions have been made.

What is a Swingers Club

So, if that’s a key part… what is a swingers club? Well, a swinger’s club is the more public version of having an adult party for swingers and swappers. Depending on the location, these clubs may be public, hidden, or down-right underground. How public they are located and talked about will generally depend on the local laws and general attitudes of the town or city.

As the name would suggest, these locations are a lot like regular dance clubs you would go to normally. Only difference may be that there will be more surfaces such as chairs, tables, couches, and etc. for people to have fun on. In addition, some may have separate rooms for playing in. No, they’re not all set up like sex dungeons, though some surely are.

Unlike a dance club, you aren’t able to just find a swinger’s club and walk in off the street. Normally, an invite is required if you want to get into one of these establishments. However, you are more likely to find one that will take random patrons in places like the Czech Republic, Amsterdam, and other parts of Europe. Certainly, they do exist in the United States as well, though they would be much harder to find. It is entirely possible that you may have passed a swinger’s club and not even known it. This is because some of these establishments may be in unmarked and unassuming buildings, usually due to local laws and regulations or town attitudes.

What is an Orgy?

Now we come to a term that is much more widely used and known to the general public. So, what is an orgy? An orgy can technically take place anywhere. Several states define an orgy as three or more people engaged in sexual activity with at least one leg off the floor. Yes, really. Despite this being the official law, most would argue that this would describe a threesome and not an orgy.

In less technical terms, an orgy is a group of consenting adults that choose to sleep with several people within the group. Normally, an orgy is held in a person’s home or other private location. The difference between an orgy and a key party is that an orgy does not have the limitation of people hooking up with one partner. Also, there generally aren’t keys involved. Those who were invited and attend the orgy, simply socialize and have naughty fun with one, two, three, or however many people that they hit it off with. Also, unlike a key party, an orgy is likely to have more single people in attendance, though often couples make up the majority of the guests.

Worth noting is that you may encounter an orgy inside of a swinger’s club, but it is never a guarantee. Some swingers enjoy swinging and swapping with several other couples at the same time… which turns into a small private orgy of six or more people. Every location and event of an orgy is different and may be located in some rather surprising places. Some are public… which is illegal by the way, but most are enjoyed in a home.

Final Thoughts and Worth Mentioning

What is a key party? A party of swingers where men put their keys in a bowl and women hookup with the owner of the keys they pull out. What is a swingers club? A club that is usually private where swingers go and treat it like a dance club, but with sex. What is an orgy? A group of consenting adults that get together and usually have sex with multiple partners.

Regardless of which of these you may choose, just remember that the number one thing to pay attention to is being careful. One night of epic fun is not worth trading a lifetime of health problems. So, be sure that you are safe and smart about any event or party you decide to attend.

Also, be sure to understand the rules and common etiquette of any orgy, key party, or swinger’s club you go to. In any of these cases, everyone is there to have fun and not to get angry or fight. Every event will have its own rules, etiquette, expectations, and more. Be familiar with all of them so that you can have fun without becoming the problem. As usual… have fun and be safe.
