History of Sex Toys
Historians will have to search far and wide to find any household item that has changed in function as little as the sex toy, while managing to fluctuate in social acceptance so much. After all, we as humans have not changed biologically, so of course we are still sexually stimulated in the same manner as we were years, even centuries ago. However, technology, both in sales and design of sex toys, has changed the industry and its products immensely.
Filthy StaffPublished 8 years ago in FilthyWhat Does the LGBTQ Acronym Stand For?
In 2011 President Obama probably said it best that “every single American— gay, straight, lesbian, bisexual, transgender—every single American deserves to be treated equally in the eyes of the law and in the eyes of our society. It’s a pretty simple proposition.” But acceptance shouldn't just be a uniquely American privilege—it should extend to people around the world as a basic human right. A common global factor is the dichotomy between regression and progression. The LGBTQ community stands for acceptance of whomever you are no matter what you believe, both in the realm of politics and religion.
George GottPublished 8 years ago in FilthyIn Defense of Polygamy
According to most upholders of sexual morality and the sacred institution of marriage, the case for polygamy is as dead as the dodo. Plural marriage, they say, may be all right for primitives, heathens or the educationally benighted, but for civilized contemporaries? Unthinkable!

Constellations fill the night sky, and many believe that these stars impact our personalities and the courses that our lives take. While the scientific validity of astrology is still tenuous, believers closely follow what their signs have to say about their futures. Each astrological sign falls under one of the four elements essential to life: fire, earth, air, and water. Leos, born between July 23 and August 22, are fire signs, and are incredibly passionate. A Leo's sex astrology is largely determined by their extroverted and extremely confident nature.

From the mating calls of birds to the impassioned grunts and shrieks of the gorilla in heat, most creatures use sounds to communicate lust and the various stages of sexual pleasure. For some, the making of appropriate sounds is the only way to arouse a desired mate. Man is the only creature who has hang-ups about freely expressing sounds of sex, which range from moans, whimpers, yells, to more explicit language.

Something hideous happened to me at school, when I learned that all men were not created equal. It knocked the stuffing out of my self confidence. Until puberty penetrated the playground, life had been a breeze. Suddenly, the most unlikely boys in school took to unfurling enormous, pliable hoses and waving them around in the back row of the geometry class for all, except teachers, to see. I was horrified. The owners of these impressive appendages seemed also to be taken by surprise. And I was left to the wayside with my small penis.

Few things are as powerful as a deviation whose time has come. Homosexuality, wife swapping, open marriage, bisexuality, S&M, and MILF porn have already had their seasons. Just as we seemed to be running low on marketable taboos, the unspeakable predictably popped up.
Filthy StaffPublished 8 years ago in FilthySex in Chinese Culture
The sexual life of the occupant of the Dragon Throne in early Chinese culture was a factor of paramount importance. It was second only to eating and drinking. A constant of the varying fortunes of the succeeding dynasties was their adherence to the principles of Yin (woman) and Yang (man). The Tao or "Way," saw man and woman as a fundamental part of the great cosmos and when Yin and Yang enjoyed sexual intercourse, the climax or the ultimate (orgasm) brought a brief explosion that swept them into the elemental unity of the universe. An emperor with his queen was that same ritual on a very much higher plane.
Filthy StaffPublished 8 years ago in FilthySexism in Language
Language is sexist. It has never met the equality needs of women. As gender issues move to the forefront of society's eye, it will continue to combat equality. A male-dominated language cannot meet the needs of those whose gender identities do not "fit" the bifurcated mold it perpetuates. Society must stop turning a blind eye to male-centric language and pronouns, and focus on speaking in a way that victimizes no one. But how do we edit a language that has been around for centuries?

A psychologist with an international reputation, both as author and as a leader of the behaviorist school, Professor Hans Jurgen Eysenck was director of the Institute of Psychiatry at London's Maudsley hospital. A prolific popularizer, he wrote more than a dozen books expounding aspects of his absorbing subject (Uses and Abuses of Psychology, etc.) and he is particularly remembered for his paperbacks of intelligence tests. To professional colleagues, he is an eloquent repudiator of Freud and an indefatigable researcher into the mechanics of personality.
Filthy StaffPublished 8 years ago in FilthyDrugs, Sex & Money on Wall Street
Too much money isn’t always a good thing. Back in the 1980s, Wall Street gave rise to a notorious New York City subculture whose principal goals were sex, drugs, and lots of money. That disconnect between material success and personal happiness was a byproduct of the opulent materialism of the decade. The 21st century ushered in an era of scrutiny and overt criticism of the decades of excess that led to a near collapse of the financial system starting in 2008. There is a feeling on modern Wall Street that you work harder for less money, and a lot less fun. When it comes to a cautionary tales of excess from the 1980s, most of us are inclined to refer to Martin Scorsese's Wolf of Wall Street starring Leonardo DiCaprio. The realities of Wall Street decadence are rarely aired in public. All too often, in a society of consumer pleasuring and narcissistic social media addicts, cautionary tales like that of Philip Hehmeyer, who was the subject of Peter McCabe’s article on sex, drugs, and money in the world of finance originally published in the February 1985 issue of Penthouse magazine, get a revisionist makeover by a society that admires Gordon Gekko and aspires to party like Jordan Belfort.
Filthy StaffPublished 8 years ago in FilthyWhy Men Fake Orgasms
Since the dawn of realization that females can actually orgasm through that "hidden area" that isn’t actually that hard to find, men have worried that their partner has at one point faked an orgasm. Maybe their performance wasn’t the best that day, or maybe they just couldn’t be aroused, and they feel like their partner faked it to "get things going." However, not much of a spotlight is placed on us men, and how studies show that 30 percent of us guys fake orgasms at least once, compared to figures finding 70-80 percent of females fake it at least once.
