Welcome to Whole New World Chapter 2
Mayhem INC. Chapter 2: Welcome to a Whole New World I was stunned into silence. I was walking out of the light with my Sifu Bo Cha Chung, or Charlie Chung, or whoever the hell this guy is, to only have him take me to a “youth group/ the “real” Heaven’s Gate Cult. Seriously, from what I can tell I followed a man that has been sleeping with my mother, raised me like his own daughter, trained me in one of the most difficult martial arts in the world, and praised me as I mastered Lum Crane Kung Fu, then he goes and sets me up with what I was told was a “youth group”, only to find it is Notorious B.I.G’s “Junior Mafia’s” meets “Star Trek”. Complete with it’s on rival/klingon junior league. Speaking of “Leagues” apparently this “Dude” that I known as my father and mentor apparently holds a military like rank called “League Commander”!?! I mean what the hell is that? Since Neal Simpson talked to him and addressed him by “League Commander Chung” I at least know that the name “Chung” is the only thing consistent about him. It was that moment that I abruptly stop before I bumped into my new “best friend” Kelly Simpson. “Let me guess you weren’t paying attention to where you were going again? Seems to be a theme with you, or did you need help from my boyfriend again?”, Kelly said without even turning to look at me. I was about to rip right into her when on cue Kevin Nakano showed up. “Hey Honey, Look I been trying to reach you all day.....” , Kelly cut him off right there. “Yes, I noticed your time management skills are improving. You find the new chick, blow me off on your free period, and what else?...... Oh, yes almost cost us our treaty with the Nightmare Club. All in all I say you’ve had a very busy day.” Kevin looking both pissed and confused just simply said, “ You’re in one of your moods yet again, so that means it is impossible to talk to you right now. So, when you’re willing to take your head out of your ass, I’ll be in the briefing room.” Then turning to face me. “Look despite how things have gone, so far you’ve handle yourself pretty well. Try to keep that spirit, you’re going to need it for the rest of the day.”

Valley of the Vegas
There weren’t always dragons in this valley. The winds have changed. The embers burn and rise, passions stir, and I am guided on. I am tending to the heat. I let it be. My feet are warm with sudden ease. This vivid tangelo glow is the same shade of burnt orange I saw in the moon setting tonight. For a moment, it filled the day, burning bright with an afterglow that was foggy, such as smoke rising from the ghost of a flame. Much like what I will see once I have put out this mesmerization for the night. Beauty awaits tomorrow and until then, I will take my rest. I am blessed beyond measure soaking each day in the ashes from the last as I cultivate this mind and heart for the next morning's light. Basking at this moment, taking it all in, I am at peace. Away from the chaos, I am free. All that is left in me is gratitude and anticipation.

Niall : A Prologue
There weren't always dragons in the valley, Joren thought as they trotted past the massive corpse of a Blue Ridgeback. Of course, with so much conflict raging in the south the stench of blood on the wind is enough to lure even the Black Drakes of the Fell Coast to the far north, He thought.

Eclipse War
There weren’t always dragons in the Valley. However, these were times of war and alliances needed to be made. What better allies could one have than the mightiest creatures in the world? Caliph stood in awe as he watched what could only be the procession of the highest-ranking dragons in all Grenadia. There were ten in total, but the one that caught his eye was the largest and most majestic leading them. He’d heard the other warriors crowded around the camp’s entrance call her Athina. She was massive. He would never say that where she could hear him, out of fear she’d squash him flat. But he could think of no other words to describe her size. Regardless, she was the most beautiful creature he'd ever seen in his twenty years on this earth. Her scales were a warm golden color and almost heart shaped. Her claws shone like diamonds and were undoubtedly much stronger. She had four horns adorning the top of her head, two short and two long. The way they curved in and upward seemed to form a crown to display her status. Her eyes were the color of sunset, changing as they moved over the crowd below. Her face was stern, confident, but Caliph could sense a hint of kindness in her gaze. One that did not detract from the power she exuded. He would have fallen to his knees the moment she got near had he been a lesser man. Still, he knew he was a mere mortal in her presence. If he was excited simply by hearing that the dragons would be attending the war council, seeing them completely overwhelmed him. Caliph knew this moment would live in his memory for the rest of his life. To have all the free tribes of Grenadia gathered was a momentous task, but for the dragons to agree to attend was a moment unheard of in this age. As he stared at them, Athina in particular, the world sank away. It was as if he were in a trance.

Cemetery of Botched Experiments
Prologue: Cemetery of Botched Experiments There weren't always dragons in the Valley. However the colossal skeletons that littered the lush meadow below was proof that N.A.A.N.O.’s “DNA-tech” worked. The natural evolution of reptiles wasn’t enough for mankind. The natural evolution of human beings wasn’t enough for mankind. We had to play Gods and alter our biological code.

Dragon King
There weren’t always dragons in this valley. There hadn’t been anyways since the Great War of the three kingdoms, the last of the dragon wars. There hadn’t been a dragon seen since the conflict ended and the lineage of dragon kings along with it. Sargon the black king of the scorched valley saw to that. The history books tell a tale of a king, black of heart that turned a once beautiful and prosperous kingdom to ruin in his lust for power and wealth. Once his resources in the kingdom ran out he turned his ire to other kingdoms, who unable to unite against a common foe, one by one began to fall until only two kingdoms remained; the kingdom of Narrowdath and the kingdom of the Dragon Kings and the Dragon Whisperers. The black king had spread his armies thin and resources even thinner, so in response he began starving his conquered subjects and plague and famine became old companies even amongst his own ranks. Rebellions arose and began to take their tolls on his forces that seemingly continued to dwindle. Narrowdath was too strong and too determined to be defeated by some plague ridden, half starved slave army and once the black king marched his armies over the great jagged stone mountains they were met with ferocity and metal and driven back up the lowland hills and rocky crags. But the people of Narrowdath, preferring peace to war allowed the black king to remain alive and well, dwelling in his newly conquered rocky waste land. Battered by volatile weather he and his men barely clung on and a bitter stalemate ensued. Raiding parties and constant patroles and armies stationed at the borders, ever ready. But the black king had a trick up his sleeve and he set to work on his most devious plan yet using the spies of Antiod now in his employ. They found the hidden gate to the kingdom of dragons and what’s more, they found the hidden location of the dragon stone. No man who wasn’t in the lineage of the Dragon Kings had ever laid eyes upon the hidden gate, much less passed it nor ever seen or held the Dragon Stone.

A Gathering Among Dragons
There weren’t always dragons in the Valley. They arrived with the warm breezes of early summer and departed soon after the first frost of autumn. Where the Great Wyrms wintered was a mystery. Each year they flew north, above and beyond the swirling storm clouds known as the Mistwall.

The Dragon Keepers
“There weren’t always dragons in the valley.” I dropped my pencil onto my unfinished letter and looked to my ma in surprise. She carefully layered oats, raspberry puree, and whipped cream for Cranachans as if she hadn’t uttered a word, while the sweet fragrance wafted to my nose, and my mouth watered. So preoccupied was I in hunger that I must have misunderstood what she said.
