Realizations
Five hours pass as Isolde feeds on the death marked prisoners brought to her quarters. The first one was brought to her by the graces of her friend Maleth. She demanded the following two. Muffled yelps and gagging gurgles echoed throughout the hall that held her room. Anyone within earshot, mainly the patrolling guards, knew well enough not to interrupt her or listen in.

Truth
The Queen’s words about burning Isolde alive hung in the air and in Isolde’s mind. Again, she half expected that her undertaking of becoming a vampire would be viewed poorly, but she hoped that letting Maleth know of her plans would have smoothed things over. Clearly, it either wasn’t enough or didn’t matter.

Consequences
The Hand of the Queen, newly anointed as a vampire, found herself being dragged to the only person she answers to; the Queen of Meriaan. She half expected that she would be in this current predicament because she had taken it upon herself to become a vampire. No one, not even her queen, demanded it or even desired it. However, being stripped down to only your undergarments and being chained at your wrists and ankles felt as if things were going too far.

A Bargain
In the province of Jundura, within the region of Tanis Reach, lies the small village of Kuraak. The village of Kuraak was rather insignificant in the enormous expanse of Jundura. The only thing that anyone would remark about Kuraak was its amazing mountain scape behind it. It was what separated Kuraak from Jundura’s enemy, the queen ruling over the province of Meriaan.

The Traveler
“Come traveler, pull up a seat and let me tell you of a tale. This is a tale that most know yet continue to disregard and ignore.” The hooded traveler, that the old and frail man was talking to, stood still, and weighed what the old man’s tale could be about. “Come, sit, and rest those weary bones of yours.”

A Dream
Have you ever had a Lucid Dream? For those who might be unaware of what a Lucid Dream might be, it’s a dream where you know you are dreaming. Some have said that they could control what happens in this type of dream. According to an article in healthline.com – “5 Techniques to Try for Lucid Dreaming”, it’s estimated that 55 percent of people have had one or maybe even multiple. To be honest, I was quite intrigued by how low the percentage is for this kind of dream. Fortunately for me, I can count myself in that percentage of people who’ve had a Lucid Dream.
