Unexpected Kindness in the Night
The sun had set on the sleepy town, and the only light came from the streetlamps. As she walked, she heard the sound of footsteps behind her. She quickened her pace, but the footsteps quickened too. Suddenly, a hand grabbed her shoulder, and she spun around. "What are you doing?" she asked, trembling. "Sorry, miss," said the young man. "I just wanted to return the wallet you dropped." He handed it to her, and she let out a sigh of relief. "Thank you," she said. "I thought you were someone else."

The Path Within;
We walk the path, step by step, never stopping to wonder where we're headed. We're so consumed by the destination, we forget the beauty of the journey. The twists and turns, the highs and lows, they all shape us into who we're meant to be. But where are we going? Is there a final destination, or are we just wandering endlessly? Maybe it doesn't matter. Maybe the journey is the destination, and we should savor every moment along the way. As we keep walking, we realize that reaching our destination isn't as important as the person we become during the journey.

The lighthouse
The Cape May Lighthouse that once shone its light across both the Atlantic Ocean and Delaware Bay for now stands silent, but the beautiful structure remains along the southern shore line of the New Jersey coast, where the blue sky still gives way to orange hues along the western sky illuminating the blue green water that skirts along the edge of the beach.

I was running from my ex girlfriend. She was chasing me through the restaurant. “Come on Eddie, you always wanted to know what our secret ingredient was. Now that you dumped me, I really want to show you,” she said, smiled and lunged at me with the knife. She missed. She threw it at me and hit my neck. “I’m sorry, honey, we just weren’t getting along,” I said before falling to the ground. “Chop chop,” was the last thing she said to me before I passed out. She then cut me up and served me as a side dish!
