Weekend Getaway
It was a crisp and clear winter day. The snow was falling gently outside, and the smell of pine trees filled the cabin. She was sitting on the couch, sipping hot cocoa and reading a book. The fire in the fireplace crackled cheerfully while she watched it with a smile on her face. It had been such a long time since she had last taken some time off to just relax and enjoy herself; she couldn't help but feel grateful for this weekend getaway. The cabin was nestled in the woods, a perfect place to escape the icy grip of winter. The snow-covered trees were like a natural fortress that protected it from the outside world. The cabin itself was wooden and simple, with white paint and a small porch out front. It looked like it had been abandoned for years, but once you stepped inside you could see that it was actually very well-kept. The living room had a fireplace and two couches set up for cuddling on cold nights. There was also an old TV near the fireplace with cable hooked up to it, so I could watch my favorite show while I relaxed after dinner. I’ve always loved spending time in cabins because they remind me of simpler times when life didn’t seem so complicated; when all I had to worry about was what video game to play next or what movie to watch on Netflix. It was a cold winter morning. The snow was falling silently on the ground and the sky was clear blue. Mae could not believe how gorgeous it was outside. She had been stuck inside for so many days that she felt like she needed to get out, even if it was just for a few hours. Mae had been looking forward to this moment for weeks now. Ever since her friend had suggested that they take a weekend trip to their favorite cabin in the woods, Mae had been counting down the days until they could finally leave and enjoy some time away from all of the stress of their lives back home. She couldn't wait to spend some quality time with her best friend, forgetting about everything else for a little while and just enjoying each other's company without any distractions or interruptions from work or family obligations... It was a snowy Saturday morning, and the sun was peeking through the curtains. The cabin was warm and inviting, with a fire roaring in the fireplace. The fireplace had been lit before I even woke up. The day passed by quickly with playing board games and making snowmen outside. We laughed as we made snow angels on the ground, but it wasn't long before we were back inside to watch movies by the fire. It's been years since I've had a weekend getaway like this one, but it doesn't feel like it's been that long since I last saw my family. It didn't matter that I had to travel for hours to get here; this weekend will be worth every mile of driving. This weekend, my family and I decided to go on a winter getaway. We love snow and we wanted to enjoy the winter season before it ended. So we packed up our things and headed for the cabin in the mountains. The cabin was cozy and warm, with a fireplace and soft blankets all around. The kids were so excited when they saw the snow outside - they couldn't wait to get outside! As soon as we got there, they were out in the snow making snowmen, building igloos, sledding down hills...you name it! They spent hours outside playing in the fresh powder just like little kids should be doing during this time of year. We had dinner by candlelight that first night- it was so romantic! We also had a fire going in our fireplace which added warmth to all of us sitting close together on one couch with our feet tucked under us or wrapped up in a blanket on the floor. It was such an amazing time.

The Mystery Box
The drones would deliver anonymous packages in the sky. You can't see who sent it, but it's always been really important to you that no one knows where the package came from. The mysterious package was delivered to my front porch by an anonymous drone. Upon opening the package, I discovered a large glass container filled with red liquid. As I poured myself some of the drink, I found it very refreshing and tasty. Then, as I took a sip, I heard a strange noise coming from inside one of its sides. Suddenly the entire side exploded outward revealing a black mask with no visible eyes or nose! A few seconds later another explosion erupted sending out more smoke and screams from within the capsule itself. Perhaps this unusual delivery is just a cruel joke sent out by my neighbor or maybe he has been harmed by these mysterious chemicals! The drone, a small, white flier like object with blinking lights on the front, flies through the open window and lands on my nightstand next to my alarm clock. It is almost impossible to wake up each morning without doing a double take when I see this thing sitting there. This mysterious package comes every week. The package arrived in the mail just as it was promised. I unwrapped it and found an ordinary, yet oddly heavy envelope that had been sent from a shipping company in another state. When I opened it, I saw that it contained nothing but a piece of paper with a return address printed at the bottom – City X. It was not a courier service either – there were no logos or stamps on the outside of the box to indicate who owned it. There was nothing inside to suggest that someone had shipped this package through the postal service at all. A mysterious package was delivered at my doorstep. It wasn’t until I opened up the box to discover a piece of wood with an app on it did I realize what it was. The drone had arrived anonymously, but to whom? And why? In the middle of a busy day, a drone appears on your doorstep. It delivers an anonymous package, and disappears again in seconds. There's no return address, just your name on a label taped to the side of the envelope. What could be inside? The package arrived anonymously by drone. The postal carrier wouldn't tell me anything, but I have a feeling that this mysterious parcel was sent from someone who wants me to know an important secret about them. I'm going to open it tonight and let the fun begin. A package containing a mysterious box would knock on your doorstep one day. When you open it, you are greeted by a very cold personal message from an anonymous source. The note explained that the package had been sent by someone very important in their lives and asked you to please not share what's in it at any cost. A drone anonymously delivers a mysterious package to your doorstep. Spooky and exciting, you open up the box. Inside is a book of famous unsolved mysteries. As you flip through the pages you realize that many of these cases have connections to your life. You decide to solve one of these mysteries and learn about a past life before discovering who sent the book! A drone delivers a mysterious package to your doorstep. The package is weighed down and the delivery note mentions a gold key. You discover that the key unlocks something hidden inside you... A drone delivers a mysterious package to your doorstep. #UPSAllTheWay The package was a simple white box. It came in the middle of the night and floated down an overgrown path to my house like a ghost. The edges had been torn, perhaps by someone who wasn’t expecting it to arrive so soon. I opened the box. Inside was a device that would prove important to me in my journey. What could go wrong?

Christopher Paolini's Fantasy Fiction Challenge
A fantastic opportunity to exercise your imagination, make new friends, and have a blast is to participate in the fantasy fiction challenge. A little kid named Alberio is destined for retribution in a world where dragons threaten towns and humans live in fear. He had life-altering events as a result of a fortuitous encounter with Christopher Paolini, a paladin. The year is 3012, and a major conflict between good and evil has nearly entirely ruined the natural world. People are either chosen for mankind or Aranea on the "Island," where the survivors reside in safety (the dark race). As a human, you are thrust into an unfamiliar planet, where your fate will depend on whether you choose to be an Aranea or not (spider demon). The year is 3012, and a major conflict between good and evil has nearly entirely ruined the natural world. People are either chosen for mankind or Aranea on the "Island," where the survivors reside in safety (the dark race). As a human, you are thrust into a world that you are unfamiliar with. A young kid named Alakazam received a priceless uncommon metal-bonded dragon egg in a world where humans and dragons coexist. The outcome of this mission will determine the destiny of both men and dragons. Everything would come to an end if the child was not successful. The goal of the fantasy fiction challenge is to use Christopher Paolini as the protagonist of a time-travelling tale. The plot, characters, and writing quality of the story must all be compelling. Please bear in mind that I will be searching for original content at the beginning of the month when posting your entries. A few monthly challenges will be hosted by the Fantasy Fiction Challenge, a very new but expanding writing community. The first of these is to compose a story that is based on a novel, film, or television program. Man and lady, A Hobbit and a middle age lady, A person who jumps through time and a future lady, A mythical being with supernatural powers and a human who has figured out how to utilize wizardry. They have all lived in a similar town since youth however never had the chance to meet as of recently.
