The gravedigger buried body after body. Give them each the proper respect and a prayer of the Seven. He said nothing out loud; he didn't believe in their Gods. He hoped the burial would be enough.
"Is it done then? The wars? All of it," she asked the Gravedigger. He said nothing. She looked at the stack of bodies on the cart: Cercei, Jaime, Daenerys, Gendry, Breanne, Yara, Tyrion, The Mountain, Jon, Sansa, Bran. He lay another body; kept digging.
"Valar Morghulis," she changed her face from Arya Stark to another and walked away for good.

Haunting!
As a new member to this group this is outstanding and most worthy of ‘Top Story.’ I greatly admire a writer that masters brevity … and one that sets me off on a path of research! ‘There were stone cups along the rim of the pool. Arya filled one and brought it to him, so he could drink. The young man stared at her for a long moment when she offered it to him. “Valar morghulis,” he said. “Valar dohaeris,” she replied.’ 🌸
Congrats! You boiled 20,000 words to a 100. Amazing! 🥰
Nice photo, reminds me of Ireland.
