Secrets of the Circus

A profound short story

By Peggy K FrankPublished 2 years ago 3 min read

For some time, a circus was so popular that each animal would perform a set of exciting shows, making a steady stream of people come to watch every day.

One silent night, the full audience has long since left. The circus director was ready to go back to his room to get a good night's sleep.

At that moment, someone came to visit. Since they did not know each other, the ringmaster asked.

"Who are you?"

"I am the person who just saw the circus performance. The performance was really good, like a rabbit climbing a tree or something, it was the first time I saw it. It was wonderful!"

Hearing his compliments, the chief was a bit dizzy, and even intended to say: "I'm tired, please go back quickly! I forgot to say something like, "I'm tired, please go home.

"Yes. If everyone is amused, there is nothing better than this!"

"Everyone loved it, and the fierce-looking tiger was as docile as a cat. I don't know how you did it, but you should be called a great genius to have trained them to such an extent!"

The captain's spirits were lifted by the excessive praise. He was so excited that he talked about the training method: "Training animals is not a big deal. However, the production of training devices but a lot painstaking. It took many years and failed several times."

Said, the head of that out of a flashlight-like thing, equipped with a dial and some complex shape of the coil. The man stared straight at this contraption with both eyes, while asking.

"This, what is this?"

"Simply put, this is a device that uses electric waves to hypnotize animals. As you can see, there are many animals drawn on the scaleboard."

"There are cats too!"

"Point the scale at the place where there is a cat, and then press the electric button toward the tiger, so the tiger is hypnotized and will believe that it is a cat."

"So that's what taming animals is all about! Inside the circus, some lions can wash clothes."

"Yes. You may also see a cow that can ring a bell and a pig that can jump over a high platform! That is the result of this device. In addition, when you want to restore the animal to its original state, you just have to press the electric button on the scale of zero."

The regimental commander proudly explained. As the man listened, he couldn't help but poke his head out, his eyes glowing.

"So, as long as there is this device, anyone can immediately half up the circus hello. Please be sure to let me have this device!"

"No, this is something that I could not easily produce. This thing, no matter how much people pay, I can not let out."

The regimental commander refused, but the man still did not die: "I want it so bad if you do not want to let ......"

The man pulled out a knife from his pocket and wanted to pounce. But who knows the chief has already pressed the training device button. Then, while packing up the device, the chief said to himself, "Oops, this rude guy, I have to punish him a little, let him also like this in the circus for a while."

The next day, the circus added a popular actor, not an animal, but a good imitation of the chimpanzee clown. He was so good at it that he looked just like a real chimpanzee.

"Hey, how can you do such a good imitation?" The audience mingled, quite incredulous, but also extremely happy clapping and applause.
