Empty Fields

Two youtubers are live in an empty field, doing random things and then out of nowhere a bull comes running at them.

Kennedy had gone live on his phone and he then propped it up on some barrels that were out in the middle of nowhere. He and his best friend had a youtube channel. It was called Abandoned Places and they just explored abandoned places to teach people why you should not explore abandoned places. Kind of counterproductive, because they would always have so much fun on their trips and people always want to do the same. Devon was his partner in crime, his best friend of nineteen years, and his crush. They were both in love with one another, but they were both two oblivious to find that out. They had on pants, shoes, long sleeve shirts, and gloves. Sometimes Kennedy would wear a hat because he did not want to get his hair dirty. Devon got his head shaved a while back and it has not grown back. Kennedy actually shaved it, because Devon has no other friends. Devon is twenty-three years old and Kennedy is nineteen. Despite their age gap, they are still the best of friends. Devon dropped out of college to do youtube and Kennedy helps him when he has a break from school or when he does not have homework.

“Hi, I do not know what Devon is doing, but hi,” Kennedy said and he turned around to see Devon trying to climb a tree. Kennedy smiled and he turned the camera so the people could see him and Devon at the same time.

“Devon I am live by the way!” Kennedy said, just in case Devon says anything strange on camera. Devon nodded and still climbed the tree because this man had priorities around now. Talking to his fans was not one of them. Climbing a tree that had one branch whatsoever, besides one small one at the top, was his priority. Devon was pretty far away but you could still hear him struggling.

“Okay, so I think this is a question and answer type thing. And it might Devon’s face reveal, never mind he still has his mask on,” Kennedy said. The viewers had seen Kennedy’s face because that is all Devon’s point of view is on the majority of the time.

“First question. Are you guys dating? What a great way to start this off? Not even a where are you guys? Or are you safe? We got a are you guys dating?” Kennedy says and he completely avoids the question altogether. After a long while, he finally answered.

“Sorry I got distracted, um, no me and Devon are not dating. We are best friends though!” Kennedy said and he seemed disappointed when he said they were not dating. He was. He wanted to be Devon's boyfriend, only his dreams he could and Devon’s dreams because he is madly in love with Kennedy.

“Yeah, okay next question. What is your biggest fear? That’s a good one. I will say Devons first, because why not. He is scared of heights and paranormal things. It is cute. Mine would be, um, probably being alone or animals. They just scare me. Especially bugs, they are just nasty,” Kennedy said and shivered with disgust on his face.

“All the fanfic writers are probably writing this down right now,” Devon said with a laugh and he put his chin on Kennedy’s head.

“When did you get here?” Kennedy asked, surprised.

“I decided the tree was too high and gave up and just came to stand with you during this whole live thing,” Devon said. Kennedy nodded. Devon leaned in to read the next question.

“Devon this one's for you. Are you ever going to do a face reveal? I will think about it. I do not know, probably. You all have Kennedy’s beautiful face, you do not need mine,” Devon said with a laugh, and chat was filled with awes as Kennedy got red.

“O-Ok, next question. What are your guy’s pronouns? Thank you, that’s a great question. I got by he/him and they/them, so he/they. Devon does not grasp the concept of a pronoun, despite me explaining it to him. So he goes by he/him,” Kennedy said and Devon nodded.

“Stop moving so much,” Kennedy said to Devon because he heard the ground being stomped on.

“I’m not,” Devon said and he turned around, and there it was.

“Yeah, no. Where did we park the truck?” Devon said and he grabbed his backpack.

“Why-? Oh my lord that’s a bull, oh my god I don’t get paid enough for this,” Kennedy said and he grabbed his phone and put back on his beanie.

“When. A. Bull. Charges. At. You. What. Do. You. Do?” Devon said as he typed that into google on his phone.

“On the off chance that a bull charges at you and you can't get away, evade the bull and run the other way. In the event that you can't move beyond the bull it's as yet behind you, don't run in an orderly fashion. Attempt to crisscross to counterbalance the bull's motor charge, and upset its force,” He said as he read the article aloud. Kennedy was already gone. He was running in a straight line and the bull, of course, went after him. Kennedy had not heard a word that Devon said and he was just making a dash for the bed of the truck. Devon just laughed as he watched the bull attempt to get Kennedy in the back of the truck. Devon made it to the driver’s seat because Kennedy did not have his license.

“I THINK THAT’S THE END OF THE LIVE,” Devon yelled as he began to drive away from the bull who no longer found them interesting. Kennedy held on tight as Devon pulled out of the parking lot. Then the live ended, they had a lot of fun answering questions and then getting charged by a bull, nothing is better than that.
