Chilled Body Of Water

Two friends go on a date at the nearest body of water, which is frozen over because of the winter.

Third-person

“Why are you taking me here? I thought this was our day of rest from all the exploring stuff,” Kennedy whined. Devon and Kennedy were best friends. They lived together and did everything together. Devon was twenty-three and Kennedy was nineteen. They had been best friends since childhood and have not left each other’s side since then. Devon dropped out of college to make youtube videos and Kennedy is still in college, but he also helps his friend make videos. They make videos under the name ‘Abandoned places.’ It was not the most original thing in the world, but that’s all they did on their channel. They explored abandoned places and taught people why they should not go to abandoned places. It was sort of counterproductive, but it was still fun and a great way for them to spend time together.

“I just wanted to take you somewhere,” Devon said, he wanted to thank Kennedy for being his best friend. So he took him to a body of water that was by their house. It was a frozen pond that no one really knew of, so they went there a lot when it was snowing and winter. The surroundings were covered in white snow and Kennedys hair was covered in snow, since it was lightly snowing. Devon brought a beanie, so his head was warm, unlike his best friends.

“Is this one of your pranks again?” Kennedy asked and he put his hands in his pocket. They had a prank thing going on, so Kennedy was always questioning everything Devon did, even if it was something small.

“No Ken. It’s not. I just wanted to surprise you with something, now come on,” Devon said and Kennedy walked faster, he still had no idea where they were going.

“My name is Kennedy, don’t call me Ken, that is so strange,” Kennedy said and he looked around. There was the bench they would sit on. It was covered in snow and so was everything at that matter.

“Ooo, I love this place!” Kennedy said with a smile. Devon smiled. That’s the whole reason why he wanted to take Kennedy here. Kennedy would talk about this place none stop during every other season that is not winter. He would talk about how he wanted to walk across the ice and throw snow and something or someone. Now that dream would be fulfilled.

“Come here, come here,” Kennedy said and he dragged his best friend onto the ice. The pond was not the biggest body of water, but it was decently sized and it was cute and shallow, so in case they fell in, they could both get out no problem. Devon was very much scared to death because he and Kennedy could not swim for their lives. Like they could not at all, so that might be their downfall.

“Guys, if this is my downfall, give the channel to Kennedy. Kennedy cannot swim either, so if we both die give the channel to Issac,” Devon said and he began praying. He was an atheist, but he was praying to God that he did not drown.

“Our dog?” Kennedy asked with a laugh and he held onto Devon.

“We don’t have any friends, so it will just be Issac’s world for now on if we die,” Devon said and Kennedy laughed. Devon spent all his growing-up time and making friends time hanging out with someone who is four years younger than him, nearly five, so he missed making any other friends. And Kennedy just did not have social skills because his one friend did not have any either.

“Haha, okay. We should go buy ice skates and then come back here and do some skating!” Kennedy said with a smile and he dragged Devon off the ice and began to run off.

“I’m in love with him,” Devon said to the camera, and just like that the video ended.
