You can offer solid foods at daytime or morning time for good digestion. But if your baby is really hungry, you can offer the solid food anytime of the day.

How to start solids to your baby?

At the 6 months, most of baby’s nutrition will still come from breast milk or formula, so don't worry if baby does not like eating food right way. Introducing solid is a gradual process.

How to start baby on solids:

1. Feed baby with a spoon: always you try to feed your baby with a spoon.

2. Start slowly: when introducing fast solids, you offer half spoon food - you may want to talk with baby.

3. You offer to try different types of food.

4. Stick with the same food for 3 days before trying another one.

5. Try the food is different forms.

What to give your babies as a solid food?

You can either give them homemade food or the cereal available in market. After 7 to 8 months of your baby you should switch to a more complex source of carbs.
